Friday - Rainy most of the day

Today was a good day. I went to bed late last night and then got up and went on with my day. In the morning I showered and did a little bit of computer work.

I had a nap for an hour as I was so sleepy I couldn’t keep my eyes open. When I woke up I felt so much better.

I had a little brunch and then went to my hairdresser. I was able to get in right away and I had a great hair cut. When I was finished I thought about going to the mall for a tea and even got to the bike parking lot, but it started to rain and there were many dark ominous clouds in the sky. I decided to just go home.

I think it was a good call as the weather got steadily worse as the day went on. I made it home, only a little wet, and called myself rather lucky.

I relaxed for the next couple of hours and then got dressed and went out to the party. It was raining so I took an umbrella. I walked over to Grado and met up with my students.

We had a lovely party with lots of good food and great conversation. The weather outside was horrible. Tons of rain, and there was a lot of thunder and lightning too. When we finished none of us really wanted to leave, but finally we had to go. One of my students offered me a ride home, so I took it.

At my apartment, F had just returned from work and he was still in his uniform. We had a happy reunion and then he went out to get some food. He hadn’t eaten yet, poor guy.

While he was gone I found a Michael Moore movie on TV so watched that. F and I both watched it after he returned. We’re now watching Child’s Play and I really wish we weren’t. I’d managed to avoid those movies for the last 30 years or so of my life. What a horrible concept for a movie.

Anyway…that’s all you get from me tonight. Tomorrow night after work we’re going to Sakata, so there won’t be an update. Don’t miss me too much. Night!

Child's Play was the first movie with "Chuckie" the life-sized murderous doll. Not my kind of thing at all.

I've never been able to watch Misery....I couldn't finish the book either. One of the few Stephen King stories that just scared me too much! I love Kathy Bates though.
