Friday - Rainy, hot and humid

An okay day.

I got up early and then went back to bed for more sleep.  I really needed it.  I didn’t sleep that well last night. It was too hot.

I really just spent today relaxing. I probably could have, and should have done something, but I just didn’t feel like it.

F came home just after his finish time and we went to the drugstore to get a few things.  We came home again and I got dinner underway.

Tonight we had chicken wings, salad, sauteed zucchini and raw zucchini sticks, plus pasta with avocado cream sauce.  It was all quite nice and we both enjoyed it.  I got F to help me for a change. He put the sauce on the pasta, which was really nice of him.

We had a quiet evening at home after that.  We watched a bit of TV and at 11 I did some crochet.  I’m finally working on the last 3 rows of my blanket.  Hurray!

And that’s about it.  My first class tomorrow cancelled, but I have to do some cleaning anyway, so I might still go fairly early to my school.  Talk to you tomorrow.  Night.

Love the pastels you chose. I want to make a ripple blanket too. Someday... Right now I am thinking about joining the Fusion Quilt Along at Little Miss Shabby. You make up a bunch of fabric squares, blanket stitch around them, then crochet them all together into a quilt. Something that combines quilting and crocheting, my two loves, is genius!

Thank you!

I had a look at the blog you mentioned. It does look like a neat way to make a quilt. Unfortunately I don't have a sewing machine here and I don't have the patience to hand sew all of those squares together! But, I admire anyone who can (and does!)

I should comment more on your blog...I love the work that you do...but haven't sewn for years.

Thanks for visiting as always!
