Thursday - Warm with a little rain and lots of clouds

I got up this morning and watched SATC.  F phoned me after it was over and asked if I’d like to have lunch with him.  I said that would be nice and then I got dressed and met him for lunch.

We had a quick and fairly yummy dinner at a gyudon shop and then F dropped me off back at home.  I spent a quiet afternoon at home.  I popped out to the post office to mail some postcards and then I came home again.

F came home around 5:45 and then after a while we talked about going out for dinner.  Tonight we went to Cocos. I had pizza and F had his rice porridge dish that he likes.  When he had just about finished it, he proceeded to pick up his bowl, brought it up close to his mouth and scooped the last of it into his mouth.  Then he told me that I should eat gyudon (my lunch)the same way. I was sitting there thinking how uncouth and rude he looked and then he tried to tell me that I should eat the same way. I don’t think so buddy. Please don’t give me eating lessons. I’ve managed quite nicely for 40 some years and I don’t want your “help” anyway.

After dinner, we made a quick stop at my school, then drove out to Voice.  I think we’ll go out there to watch the fireworks tomorrow night.  Then, we went to the grocery store to get a few things for tomorrow.

We came home and F watched a lot of Olympics.  Ladies wrestling was on, so he was in seventh heaven!  I followed the Canada vs France soccer game on Facebook.  Hurray for a bronze for Canada.

That was almost it for my day.  Tomorrow I hope it’ll be quiet. I think the last SATC will be on, and then I may go out and run a few errands. I’m not completely sure.

Oh, one other slightly weird thing.  The last couple of nights I’ve had trouble with my scalp. I’ve felt a bit like I got a sunburn, but I don’t spend much time out in the sun.  It got to the point where I’ve been wearing a hat while I’ve been on my computer.   Anyway, I surfed the net and found out that some people do have a sensitivity to fluorescent lights, and get a reaction that is similar to a sunburn.  I can’t help wondering if that is what is happening to me.  My skin is quite sensitive normally, I burn really easily and my hair is so light that it probably doesn’t protect me that much.  F saw me in my hat tonight and asked what I was doing.  I told him it was a fashion statement!

That’s it for me.  Night!

My wife and I have been following your blog for a few weeks now. What is SATC that you're watching every day? Sherlock and Torchwood we're familiar with.

SATC = Sex and the City. It's on weekdays at 10:30 am over here. I think they'll have the last episode on next week.

Thanks for visiting!
