Wednesday - Sunny and warmish

A good day.

Today I got up at an okay time, watched some TV and read the paper, had some of F's lovely French bread and then went on my computer for a while. It was a nice and quiet morning.

In the afternoon I scanned the cards I had received and the ones I was sending, uploaded them where necessary and then got ready to go.  It was getting quite late, but I thought it was maybe possible to get my hair cut today.

I got to the salon, but she asked me to come back tomorrow. I have time for a change, so it isn't a big deal.  My hair is in bad shape, and really needs to be cut.

I left the salon and went to the mall.  I hacked around a little and bought myself a tray to put my spices in.  My little spice tray is too full at the moment and I can't find anything because half of the spices and herbs are outside the box.

I had a sandwich and a Royal Milk Tea at Doutor and started in on Mockingjay, the third book in The Hunger Games.  So far I am loving it.

I came home just after 5 and it was still light out. Yay!

At home I vegged for a while and then F came home.  He seemed a bit tired, but better than yesterday.

I cooked dinner tonight.  It was fairly simple, just using up things we had last week.  We had fresh pasta with garlic alfredo sauce, plus sautéed chicken tenders, salad and breadsticks.  All quite nice I must say.  F did the dishes and then set up the bread maker again for tomorrow.  He's becoming quite the baker!

We had a quiet evening.  F watched something on TV and then I went over to the couch to crochet and watch Camelot, which I'm also enjoying.  I went back to my computer for Private Practice which was also sort of a humdinger tonight.  That's about it. I watched some other TV but nothing too exciting.

Tomorrow I will finally go and get my hair cut. Hurray.  I'm so looking forward to that.  I also hope that something nice will happen…fingers crossed.  I have to go.  Night!

Oh…so today was my anniversary of arriving in Japan.  I didn't get a letter of congratulations from the PM or the Emperor.  I'm a little saddened, but it might come tomorrow, right?

The emperor's kind of rude! You're a stranger in a strange land still! Do you ever dream of moving back to your home country?

I'm sure the Emperor is very busy!

I do dream of moving back to Canada, but I doubt it would happen unless something bad happened here. I miss Canada a lot.

Thanks for writing :-)
