Saturday--Hot, sunny, muggy

Happy Anniversary to Me!

I got up this morning, but went back to bed a little later as nothing was happening in the living room!  F was watching TV and YouTube as usual.  When I did get up and get dressed, it was because he'd made an appointment for me to see a chiropractor and we only had a little bit of time before I needed to be there.  We went to the mall and had a sandwich at Doutors, then headed to the chiropractor's.

I was worked on for an hour and I'm still in a bit of pain.  Apparently I was quite bad.  My hip was out, probably due to the trip we took to Sendai, so he seems to have fixed it and gave me some advice about posture.  (I know, I know!)

We went to McDonald's for a drink and decided to go to the museum to see the exhibit.  It was okay, not great for me this time.  It was the treasures from the Kinbo Shrine.  A lot of it was just scrolls or things to read, so for this illiterate heathen, it didn't do much for me.  I liked some of the other things.  The artwork was interesting.

We came home and on the way home stopped at a little cafe that is just down the road from us.  We've never been there before and I've always wondered about it.  I bought a cake for F's birthday once, but that was it.  We went in and had their cake set.  We each had a blueberry tart and tea or coffee.  The tart was presented very beautifully, with lots of fruit and some sorbet on the side.

We came home and relaxed for a while.  I took a nap, then got up and got ready. I wore an older, long black dress with flowers on it and F wore a nice pair of pants and a shirt.  We drove out to Bistro des Points.

Our meal was fabulous and I'll include some pictures of the food we had.  There is some sad news however, the restaurant is going to close for a while, but will re-open next year.  In the mean time, they'll have a wine bar in Tsuruoka.  That's a little interesting I think.

My main course -- Roasted Duck in a wine sauce

F's main course--beef steak

Our Dessert....sauteed apples with yogurt ice cream.  It was topped with spun sugar.

The happy couple...12 years in

After dinner, F took us on a little drive and then we came home.  I watched some TV and F watched his YouTube.  I can't understand the fascination, but he loves it!

Anyway, as far as anniversaries go, so far this has been quite nice.  We aren't doing the present thing this year but we have everything we need, within reason! I won't be blogging tomorrow night unless things go badly tomorrow.  I hope to see you on Monday night though.  Night!
