Tuesday - Cloudy, rainy, cooler
A busy day.
I got up this morning before nine am. I was terribly surprised! I even stayed up too. I watched a bit of TV and got dressed. I started making soup early on, and watched Martha Stewart. She was doing her show on Istanbul. I have a friend living there at the moment, so it was nice to see some of the things my friend is seeing.
I got the soup ingredients all cut up and put in the slow cooker. It took a while, but finally I was done for a while. Yay.
I took a shower and then started to scan some of the cards that I had written. When I was doing that, F came home for a quick visit. He offered to take me to the post office and as the weather outside looked a little scary and I needed to send off a bookmooch, I let him! Things went quite well, and I even bought some more stamps too.
It had started to pour, so F drove me back home again and then went back to his work. I did a few things around my computer and then F came home again.
It took a while to get dinner on the table, but I finally managed. I watched Project Runway too. For dinner, I had soup and salad, and F had those, plus he added two servings of rice and some fish egg stuff. I was a touch surprised that he needed all of it. The Bacon and Hakusai soup was really good and two bowls of it were enough for me.
F did the dishes and even later, the slow cooker. Yay. We had a nice, fairly quiet evening. I took some pictures of my recent craft work and uploaded them to Ravelry and Facebook.

I did a little crochet tonight on the chesterfield while watching The Following. F was so noisy it drove me crazy. He was making bread so the machine was going, the air conditioner, the fan, the TV were on and he was rustling plastic. I couldn't hear anything. I try not to let it bother me, but it seems like he only makes that much noise when I'm trying to watch something I really like or need to pay attention to. The reason he was making so much noise? A little midnight snack. He made himself a big bowl of udon. What??? I don't usually, but I commented on how much he'd eaten tonight.
He went to bed afterwards and I'm still up. Tomorrow I'm not sure what I'll do, but I have a feeling that I should write my area report as it is already late. Oops. Anyway, come back tomorrow and see what I get up to. Night!

Lovely doily, both in color and design. Kudos on all those picots around the edge. Picots drive me nuts and I tend to avoid patterns that call for them, although I started using a new method for them: rather than making a slip stitch through a chain, I make a single crochet there instead. So much easier than trying to pull the slip stitch thread through! The doily I'm working on now has picots in two of the rounds and I am fudging on the pattern.
Thank you! I found the pattern on Ravelry and now I'm doing it again in a beige. Actually, the pattern called for the single crochet picot so it wasn't that bad. I'm not a big fan of the "real" ones either, but this was painless!
Don't blame you for fudging your doily pattern! I might too.
