Monday - Hot and sunny
And a great time was had by all….
I'm back from Nagano and Niigata. I had a lovely time, luckily didn't get sunburnt or bitten by the nastiest bugs. I had a great trip down to Hakuba with my friend and a great trip back to Niigata with her too, so that was lovely.
Our travel went very smoothly, and really, so did the convention. I did a workshop on making tarn (T-Shirt Yarn) and while it wasn't a very popular one, it was fun. My lovely boa was a big hit, and so was my silly flowery headband.
I met with many, many people and spent time with some amazing ladies. I wasn't able to spend as much time with my close friends as I wanted, but they were all busy too so it didn't work out that well.
In Niigata last night, I decided to stay in and not go to an expensive movie. I got a movie card, and watched Catching Fire. It was good, but I don't know if it was the TV or the movie itself, but it was so dark I literally didn't know what was going on all the time. I fell asleep on Lost last night!
I got up this morning, didn't have breakfast in the hotel, checked out and parked my backpack at the hotel. I had a light & late breakfast in a very cool coffee shop I found, then did a bit of shopping. I got some postcards, a new water bottle and a cover for it, some new sunscreen (my old stuff isn't as hypo-allergenic as I would like) and a few things at the International grocery too.
I came home on the train and it was a nice and quiet way to travel. I got to Tsuruoka and F was waiting for me. He seems to have missed me a lot and we had a lovely reunion. He took me out for dinner to an izakaya in the station and then we bought a few groceries.
At home, I found 4 postcards to register, a million messages and pictures on Facebook (one favourite, a picture of myself and 3 other ladies named Helen), and about 50 emails to try and read! Some will have to wait for tomorrow.
We had a quiet evening at home, F is in bed, and to be honest, I want to get some sleep soon too. That's it for me. Night!

It seems your absence made his heart grow fonder. Let's hope it keeps on growing!
