Friday - Sunny and warm

A good day.

I woke up a little late this morning. I got up and came through to the living room.  I grabbed my computer and sat on the couch for the rest of my show and later I made some tea. After my show, I took a nap.  And then another one.  The third time I woke up I had been dreaming about my old job for  L’Eikawa and it was so real.  I honestly thought I was there again!

I did a workout, today was the resistance bands one.  It seemed harder today and I had to relax my arms a bit more than I wanted to.  Still, I did it. Yay.   At 1pm today I finally watched the finale of Broadchurch.  It was devastating for the characters in the show. I had no idea who had done it.  Afterwards, I had a good think about how good Olivia Colman is.  I’ve seen her do drama and comedy and she’s equally good at both.  She’s not terribly attractive, but she can appear that way at times.  David Tennant was terrific in the show too.  I really liked him in this.  Of course, I like him in everything, but he was good here.

I did a lot of laundry this afternoon.  I washed some of my usual stuff, and I got started on some of the stuff from F’s house too.  I finally got the nerve up to wash a pair of pants that I brought over.  I bought them, but never wore them because they were light-coloured and dry clean only.  What kind of a designer makes light cotton pants that are dry clean only?  Ask Ralph Lauren.  I must have got them in an outlet shop because I don’t know why else I’d buy them! I put them through the delicate cycle. I hope they’ll be okay!

Later in the evening I looked at my column but didn’t write much, then started to get things for dinner ready.  I got out the hotplate, made up some pancake batter, and set the table.  I even went through the veggie compartment and took out a bunch of the stuff from earlier in the week that we didn’t eat.

F was quite late tonight.  I’m sure he didn’t come home until almost 8 pm.  When he did I did a quick stir-fry with some bokchoy and a pompom mushroom.  I heated up the leftover soy sauce chicken and made some pancakes.  We had a quite nice meal.  I had left out most of the sugar from the pancake recipe, so they weren’t very sweet. I’m glad as it would have clashed with the chicken.  It was nice and everything got eaten up.  We even ate all the pancakes!

F did the dishes and we had a quiet evening in.  I watched The Mentalist and then Royal Pains. I crocheted 2 and a half squares during The Mentalist. Since there wasn’t anything on after that, I caught up on Cathy and the Big C or whatever it is called.  It was good again.  I like Laura Linney a lot, and it’s not just because she’s my celebrity twin!

That’s about it for my day to be honest.  I’d like to get an early-ish night if it is possible, but since it is already almost too, that may be a pipe dream.  F wants to stay out most of tomorrow as he’s avoiding an apartment meeting so I’m not sure what we’ll get up to.  Come back and find out.  Until tomorrow….

Hi, I am enjoying Cathy and the big C too, my son is lucky we live in an apartment as I have been tempted on many an occasion to burn his clothes too - teenage boys.
