Sunday - Warm and sunny

A good day.

I’m not going to lie.  I slept in quite late today, but it was just a lovely lazy Sunday, the kind that I almost never get with F around!  The best part?  He joined in too.  Yay!  He did get up early and went to his mother’s house, but when he came home he put some bread in the bread maker, and then came back to bed!

Neither of us got up until the afternoon, in fact I think it was the bread maker that woke us up!

We got up, had a very quick and not that great late lunch at Kappa Sushi and then hit the drugstore for a few household items.  I needed new soap for the bathroom, new shampoo, some swabs, that kind of thing.  We came home with them.  After a bit, F went out to his mother’s again to walk the dog and check on her.

When he came back, he wanted dinner, but I wasn’t ready yet.  I agreed to go with him while he went to a ramen shop.  His first couple of choices were closed so we ended up at one he said he didn’t like, but ate it anyway!

After that, we went to the internet cafe and were able to get massaging chairs.  Yay.  For three hours I got to relax, read, watch British detective shows, crochet a tad, and even have dinner.  It was lovely.  I enjoyed myself so much.  However, I was a bit panicky because I’d forgotten to programme the DVR for Downton Abbey, so I told F we had to be home before then. Oh, and new thing at the Internet Cafe, they have a soft serve ice cream dispenser.  F made good use of it…and okay, me too, but not in the same quantity!

We left around 10:00 pm and bought some groceries.  It’s going to be chicken fajitas tomorrow for dinner.  Yum.  I love them, and I’m looking forward to it.  I might go back to the store and get a lime though, I forgot that.

Got home and Downton Abbey wasn’t on, some election thing in Osaka was.  And of course, there was something on another channel that I wanted to watch.  I ended up watching the American version of Old Boy.  It was bizarre.  Really a weird film.  I haven’t seen the original though, I heard it was out there too.

And that’s it for me.  Tomorrow I’m not sure what I’m going to get up to, but I hope you’ll come back and find out with me!  Until tomorrow….

The US version of Old Boy was faithful up until that sick, vile ending it used to divert from the original.

It was such a brilliant remake up until that ending...such a waste!

I thought it was probably different than the original, since I'd never heard of the "twist". I prefer to see the original before the remakes, but I wasn't able to in this case.
