Wednesday - Sunny and warmish

A good day.

I got up when my first alarm went off, which is really rare. I came through to the living room and expected Murder She Wrote, but got Castle.  I can live with that, even if it is the very beginning of the series again.  I’m all about the Nathan Fillian!

I didn’t do my workout on time and then I didn’t do it because I assumed that F would be home for lunch.  He wasn’t.  Instead, I practiced my make-up for convention.  I wore it most of the day and it didn’t bother my skin, so that’s a good thing!  Hurray, hurray.

I did my workout after the make up session and felt a little silly and a little glamorous.  Of course, I was just past the warm-up and starting to work hard, when F called me.  He was in a mall and the loudspeaker was coming right in my ear and to be honest, it was touch and go whether I should hang up or not.  My ear hurt from the noise.  After we hung up, I almost cried from relief.  I think F must have been wearing one of his cheap earpieces again.

I did a couple of loads of laundry today and also tried to block my shawl.  Unfortunately I couldn't. I realized that it was huge!  When I put it on the bed to take my pictures of it, it was longer than my bed’s width.  I don’t have anywhere in the apartment that I can stretch it out and let it dry after I spritz it.  I took a couple of pictures and vowed to ask F to take more tonight.

Around 6 pm F called to say he was going to his mother’s and then a bit later to say he was coming home.  When he arrived home, I had most things ready to start cooking.  Tonight we had pasta with a quick store sauce, steamed broccoli, shredded cabbage and carrots and it was quite nice.  It was nice to have a low stress meal at home.

F watched a volleyball game that didn’t end until 11:00 pm.  I think he finally did the dishes around 10:00pm.  Ack.  Still, it was his turn to do them.  I got him to take a couple of pictures of me and my shawl so that I could show off a little.  I’m really happy with it.

The Lizard
I posted a similar one to Ravelry as I didn't want my face over there, more or less!

I did a little work on the purse tonight too.  I have finished sewing in the lining and also begun crocheting a couple of side panels that I hope will allow me to put my glasses and my phone into my clutch to carry around with me.  I’m making them at the same time so they will be very similar.  That’s the plan for now anyway!

That’s about it for me.  It was a pretty good day, I still haven’t made it into my closet yet, but I have hopes for Thursday or Friday.  Fingers crossed I really do it!  Come back soon and find out my latest news.  Until tomorrow….

Your shawl turned out lovely. I really like that sparkly gray yarn. I am into glitter yarns and threads these days. Have fun at the convention!

Thank you so much! I got it at Aeon's Pandora's House. I used about eight balls of it on the shawl. I like the yarn but have found it really snaggy. I had to moisturize my hands before working with it, otherwise I would snag the yarn.

I'm looking forward to convention, but it takes quite a while to get there from here.

Thanks for commenting today!

Really lovely, especially over your black top! Does the shawl loop around to tie in the front?

Hi Rosa! Thanks...no it doesn't really. It is a bit like a wing or something. It starts small at one side and gets bigger from there, so I can't really tie it. I should probably use a shawl pin or something to hold it closed.

Thank you for the compliment too :-)
