Monday - Windy, snowy and cold

Merry Christmas!  A good day too.

I said a sleepy goodbye to F this morning and dozed a little longer. I was quite shocked when I realized that my alarm had just gone off.  I dragged myself out of bed and over to my computer.

I had a very quiet morning today. K spent a lot of the day in bed and so I didn’t eat breakfast with her.  I did a few things upstairs and around 1 pm I went down and did have lunch with her.  It was a small and simple lunch but seemed to work.

I came upstairs again for a little while after lunch, but around 3:30 went down to start on dinner.  Most of what I did was just plating, but I did make some toast/crackers and some nama ham roll-ups.  I planned to make a salmon dip, but decided to just leave the salmon as is.  I think it was a good choice.  I brought down my Christmas tree for the room and put out a couple of glasses of water that had underwater LED lights in them.  That was a cool effect.

F called to say he was on his way, so I kicked things into higher gear and put out more food on the table.  K got up again and when F came the table was covered with food!

We all ate, and we all ate a lot.  However, it was Christmas and it was all good!  There are some leftovers for lunch tomorrow too.  I’m very pumped about that!

We had some decaf coffee and our Christmas Pudding and ice cream to finish the meal.  F and I did dishes, he did a bunch between the courses which was lovely of him.

After dinner, K went to bed and F and I went out to get kerosene and some garbage bags too.  We picked up some drinks for good measure and then came back to the house.

Upstairs, F and I opened our presents from my sister and her family.  We got some lovely loot.  We do hope that they like the things we sent them too.

That’s about it for us.  I’m terribly sleepy at the moment, F is already sleeping.

I hope that all of my readers have a fabulous holiday, and a great Christmas if you celebrate it.  Until tomorrow….
