Saturday - Rainy with clear patches
A good day. I was up this morning before F came back from the doctor. I watched me a little food porn…Nigel Slater. He's so cool in the kitchen. I'd love him to come and cook for me! I showered and then settled in to watch Gilmore Girls with my crochet and F. He didn't really watch it.
We had a lovely long nap in the afternoon, then headed out. We went to Kintaro Sushi for sushi and then had a drive around the city. We both needed a drink after sushi so ended up at a lovely coffee shop. We had tea and a little bit of discussion. Then, we hit up Yamaya for some imported yummies. I didn't get much today, just some jasmine tea, sunflower seeds and couscous.
We came home for a while, but F wanted to go out again fairly soon. We ended up at the beach in Yunohama to see the fireworks at 8:00pm. After we got there and no fireworks appeared, F looked it up and there won't be fireworks until AUGUST! Why didn't he look it up before we headed out?
We drove back to Tsuruoka and had dinner at a chicken izakaya. We had quite a few kinds of yakitori and really enjoyed our meal. We're going to go there sometime by bicycle so F can have a drink. Right now it's too rainy to do that.
We came home and have just vegged. I did a little crochet, F did a lot of YouTubing. Today was a much better day than I thought it would be. Hurray for that! Oh, and I didn't even mention the nice care package I got from my sister. She sent a magazine, some toothpaste and floss, and best of all for summer, some antiperspirant! Yes! Got to go. Night!
