May 4, 2009 - Monday

Hazy and warm.

Today was a pretty good day! Fumihiko got up a bit late and I got up a bit earlier, so we were doing well.

We had our lunch at the Washington Hotel, and then afterwards we went to the Kokusai Mura for a quick visit. I grabbed a couple of books from the lending library while I was there. After that, we went to my student's store. I bought a few stickers for my kid students and then we weren't sure what to do.

Fumihiko wanted to go and see the tulips at Ikoinomura, so we did. We parked the car and went for a stroll in the Tulips. They were really pretty. I had told Fumihiko a couple of days ago that I don't really like tulips, but it isn't true! There were some really gorgeous ones there. I posted some pictures on Facebook, I'll see if I can post some here too.

We had tea and a waffle at a coffee shop near the tulip place. When we paid they had a lottery and I won a stuffed animal. I could pick the one I wanted, so I grabbed a stuffed jack o'lantern. I figured I can use it for Halloween at least.

We came home for a bit and vegged, before going out for dinner. We went to the soba chain place. I quite like it. Afterwards, we came home and watched How to Steal a Million with Peter O'Toole and Audrey Hepburn. While I was watching the movie, I got a call from a lady in Niigata. Upshot of that is that Fumihiko and I are going to go to Niigata city tomorrow to meet her. We've been talking about meeting up for months so it's really nice that we'll be able to do that now.

We just watched the end of American Idol. It was quite fun, but we only saw the end. That was too bad. Oh well.

So, tomorrow, there won't be an update, sorry. Hopefully we'll be back on Wednesday all happy and with lots of news for you all. Got to go! Night!

(One more pic for you!)
