Thursday - Cold and windy

I went to bed fairly early for me last night. I did wake up in the middle of the night, but went back to sleep for a while. I got up around 8 I think.

I had a quick breakfast and then came downstairs for a bit.  I had suggested that my niece and I go shopping today, so after a shower we got on the road.

We drove to Southgate Mall in Edmonton and spent the next few hours together doing a little shopping.  I got lucky and found a couple of shirts that I liked and a couple of pyjama bottoms as well. I found a book that I've been looking for and also got a new strap for my favourite watch.  Yay.

I bought my niece a late lunch at the Food Court. I had Greek food and it was good. My niece had Chinese, I'm not sure if she liked it that much.

We came back to her home just before dinner.  I didn't have any since I wasn't hungry at all.  A little later on we watched the last Harry Potter movie and it was great.  I haven't seen it in ages.

After the film was over, I came downstairs and took care of my laundry. I also hung up some of the laundry that needed to dry outside the drier.

And that's about it.  I probably won't update for a while because I'll be going to bed quite early tomorrow night so that I can get up early to catch my flight to Las Vegas.  I'm excited and nervous both!  Come back in a few days and hear all the highlights of my trip.

Until....?

Las Vegas! Wow. That's quite a jaunt. Hope you have a great time in Sin City. :D

Thank you! Yes, I'm a tad excited about it. I've never been and it is one of the places I've always wanted to go!

Back in a few days :-)

I don't know if you have time or if this is too far away, but I'd definitely recommend visiting the Curiosity, Inc. antique shop/general store in Edmonton if it's something within your reach. It's at 10985 127 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5M 0T1, Canada and the owner is this really nice guy who has a very interesting shop. He's got a YouTube channel which includes him clearing out a hoarded home, raising money for two homeless people to be homed, and restoring many cars. He's just the most genuine guy in the world with a nice family and the shop is full of awesome stuff.

Thanks Orchid64! Nice to hear from you again.

I may have seen one or two of his videos too, not sure if we're talking about the same person. Sadly, I'm running out of time here and as I don't have transport, it is unlikely that I'll be able to check out his store. My family lives outside Edmonton, so it is quite difficult for me to go all the places I want to go and even meet up with old friends.
