Tuesday - Sunny and hot
I woke up this morning at 8:30 when my alarm went off. I was tired, but got up. A few seconds later my phone pinged with a message from my sister. It wasn’t good news and we had a few texts back and forth.
I got dressed and took a few minutes to relax and try to get my head together. A little after 10am I went downstairs, used the loo, said goodbye to K and then left and walked over to the bus stop. I waited a few minutes and when the bus came I got on.
I transferred to the Mikawa bus near the train station. It was so hot and humid waiting outside for the bus. The bus was nearly empty when I was on it to Mikawa, it was rather relaxing.
At the mall I decided to have lunch first. There isn’t much choice for food recently, so I went to McDonalds. I had a burger set and also tried their new chocomint frappe. It was quite nice. After lunch, I walked through the mall. I stopped at the post office to mail a card and make a small deposit to my savings account. I went upstairs and checked out the cinema. I bought my ticket and then did a bit of mall walking and window shopping until the cinema opened.
I bought some popcorn and a drink, then went inside and watched Fly Me to the Moon. I quite enjoyed it. It was a fun movie with good performances. ScarJo was really great and it was cool to see her husband in the movie too!
After the movie, I had some ice cream at Baskin Robbins and then walked over to Aeon. I looked at ladies clothing again and tried on a dress. The dress was fine and fit quite well, but then I decided that I wasn’t going to buy it. I don’t wear dresses that often. I like them, but don’t go places where I can wear them!
I went downstairs in the mall and a few minutes later F called to say he was on the way to the mall. We agreed to have a drink, so F came into the mall and we had a nice drink. I had a boba tea which I got for free because I had filled a stamp card. Woot.
We decided to get a bento for K and then go out. I suggested going to Kintaro Sushi if they were still open when we got there. F liked that idea. We grabbed a bento and some other food for K and F, then came back to Tsuruoka and the house. F fed his mother and I emptied out my backpack. We left soon after and were able to get into Kintaro. We had some really good sushi. We’ve been going to cheapo places for a while so the good stuff tastes amazing! We left after a bit. I think they were closed, but some people were still coming in!
F and I bought groceries next at PAL. We looked around and I bought a few things. Hopefully everything that we will have for dinner over the next couple of days! F wasn’t feeling too well at the end of the grocery shopping so I sent him off to the car and I went to the nearby drugstore to get some shampoo. I got a new type of the same brand, I hope it is good! I also picked up some cereal and some drinks for F and I for the car.
I paid and went out, then I got in the car and we came back to the house. We put the groceries away and then I went upstairs and turned on the AC. It was so hot in our room. I had opened a window when I left, but it was over 32 degrees. Yikes.
We had a quiet evening in. F went to bed fairly early, I did not. I watched the first episode of the new season of Resident Alien. It was quite good!
And that was that. My day was pretty good when I wasn’t at the house! I went over to the mall and enjoyed myself and the cool air that I didn’t make my husband pay for!
