Wednesday - Cloudy, muggy and rainy
I think I did wake up when F left this morning, but I’m not sure, so maybe I didn’t! I woke up before 8 am though and made a trip downstairs. I came back upstairs and went back to bed and had a much longer snooze. I finally dragged myself out of bed, went downstairs and grabbed my breakfast. I ate upstairs and watched the news afterwards. I had to turn on the AC as it was so hot and humid after noon.
I was about to do some laundry when F popped in for a quick visit. I reminded him that tonight was a busy night for me as I had to do dinner and then prepare the burnable garbage to go out. Then, we had to get groceries and I needed to take a shower. He didn’t seem impressed and just said he was tired. Nice.
He left again and I did some laundry. I did a couple of loads of laundry and hung it up in the room. As it was around my lunchtime, I decided not to watch anything on the Fire Disk. I was a little sad, but I didn’t want to stop and start my shows.
After 5:15, F called and said he was on his way back. I went downstairs and started to get things ready for dinner. Tonight I was making tacos and they turned out well. We had tortillas, lettuce, cheese and sour cream for the top. I didn’t put out salsa. I can’t eat it and the jar in the fridge is a little old. We also had some cucumber pickles and potato salad on the side! Both F and I had 3 tacos, and K only had one. I think she liked it though.
I did the dishes afterwards. They weren’t too bad as it was a one-pot meal basically, but I did have a few dishes to wash and put away.
Then, I did up the garbage and set up the new bags and such for next week. I put it in the genkan and then grabbed a sports drink and went to sit with F in the living room. K had gone to bed and he seemed to be fine that I was there. I drank my drink and then went upstairs to get changed.
I went downstairs and waited in the genkan for F. He took a long time and I had to yell to him finally that his mother needed to use the washroom too! He came out and was rather cranky about it. I took my umbrella to the car as it was pouring. However, it was difficult to get in the car with the umbrella. I had it closed I thought, and then it sprung open again. F wasn’t pleased with me. Grr. Sorry, but I’m the one getting wet.
We went to MaxValu because we were really too late for the regular grocery store. It was still pouring and there were huge puddles everywhere. F very nicely offered to drive me over to the door to let me out. I asked him for some money first though!
I went shopping. I got most things that I needed for tomorrow and almost everything that I needed for Friday. I did forget one major thing, more pasta. Still, I might have enough, or I can use a different sort for a change!
I checked out and then I put the buggy away and called F. He didn’t hear me at first so it was a bit hard. He finally did hear me and drove over to get me. I jumped in the car and then we went back to the house.
At the parking space, F got mad at me because I didn’t jump out of the car immediately. It is so annoying. I had the groceries, my handbag, and my umbrella to wrangle. It wasn’t too easy. I tried yelling that at him but he was already gone.
I put the groceries away and then came upstairs. I was rather upset with him. He didn’t come back upstairs until after 11pm. I went on Amazon and made an order. Unfortunately, the purse that I was planning to buy last night had been sold out and to get it elsewhere would have been more money than I wanted. I scanned a few other places and finally picked one. I got the order in before midnight, so it should be okay I hope!
I went downstairs and took a shower. I came back up after midnight and started watching some YouTube and drinking my tea. I’m still not really relaxed, I’m not sure why.
I’m not sure what I’ll get up to tomorrow. I’m going to do a non-cooking night. At least, that is the plan for now. I’m going to make some chicken salad with bought chicken and possibly some tuna salad too. Then, I’ll make a few sandwiches, but mostly let people make their own I think.
