Tuesday - Hot and humid

I did wake up when F got ready for work this morning, but I fell asleep soon after. I did wake up before my alarm. I made a trip downstairs and then tried opening the windows and using my fan to cool down. It was already 28 degrees in the room. Yikes. 

I woke up again later and got up. I dressed and did consider doing some laundry, but of course decided not to. Oops. I grabbed my breakfast and came upstairs to eat and watch the news. 

By noon, the temperature in the room had reached 30 degrees so I turned on the air conditioner and enjoyed the cool! I watched the news and then tried to take a nap for a few minutes. I didn’t manage.

I went downstairs to get my lunch and then came upstairs again.  I ate while I watched an episode of The Good Fight. Today was interesting but not as good an episode as the last ones, at least not from my point of view. I still enjoyed it!

F called around 5:20 and said he was on his way. I went downstairs and got a start on dinner. It took a while tonight. I did fried basil chicken and roasted potatoes, then some cucumber pickle, salad and a few tomatoes. Dinner was a bit late, but it got on the table. I yelled to F, but he didn’t answer, so I phoned him! He did answer me then and promised to come down! He did. 

K must have been hungry because she kept helping herself to the potatoes and the cucumber. I didn’t mind, but I was hoping there would be a few left for my lunch tomorrow. Nope!

I did the dishes and I was a sweaty mess when I finally finished. We even had the air conditioner on in the living room, but it didn’t hit the kitchen that well. I did go into the living room to talk to K and F when I was done, but they didn’t seem very welcoming so I just went upstairs. I brought up a bottle of sports drink too.

I watched an episode of FBI: Most Wanted tonight. They finished the storyline of the leader’s brother’s murder and it was quite a good if predictable outcome. It was also the last episode of the season so it’s not going to be on anymore. Next week will be Resident Alien. Yay!

When F was getting ready for bed he turned on the air conditioner but asked me to turn it off when I go to bed. Maybe I’ll stay up so I don’t have to turn it off? Naw, just kidding!
