Sunday - Rainy, humid and hot
I woke up this morning and made a trip downstairs. I came back up to the room and tried to fall asleep again, but F came up a little later and I really didn’t manage.
We had a fairly relaxing morning. We had made plans to go over to Sakata for yakiniku today and lunch there went until 3 pm so there wasn’t any rush. We finally left the house around 1pm and made the drive over to the next city. We were able to get into the yakiniku-ya after a few minutes wait and had a really good meal. We probably ate too much, but F seemed to enjoy it too and he was the one that suggested ordering more food. I had another bibinba and it was very good.
When we left the restaurant we drove back to Tsuruoka. We considered going to a couple of places along the way but never did. We went to Musashi so that F could get his fish food. I went into the other section and bought some tissues for K, some gentle-on-hands dishwashing liquid and an anti-mould thing for the bathroom. I was trying to buy masks, but they didn’t have the type we usually buy…bar one open box that I said I wasn’t going to buy because….
After our time at Musashi, we went to the grocery store where I bought groceries. I was a tad annoyed at F because he parked at the wrong side of the store, but whatever. I asked him if he needed something and he said no.
I did the shopping and I had to pay for some of my own purchases because F didn’t give me enough money. I sort of understand it, but I did tell F that I was going to buy stuff this weekend. Sigh.
We came back to the house and I put away the food then I went upstairs and turned on the AC again. I stripped off my outer clothing and just relaxed in the newly cool room!
I stayed there for a while and watched some YouTube. Finally, F and I started to talk about dinner. I wasn’t too hungry as lunch was big. We talk over a few options but F doesn’t really have any good ideas. I told him that if he wanted to go for ramen I would go for dinner at Gusto. He refuses. He suggested another restaurant that I was okay with so we went down to the car and started off.
We end up at Gusto. I was fine with it, but I thought we were going somewhere else! Oh well. I did have a pretty good meal so I really didn’t mind. F said his food was okay which surprised me!
After we finished our meal, we tried a drugstore for masks but didn’t find any and then we just came back to the house.
I watched the last episode (I hope) of Fallout and then an episode of The Reluctant Traveller. Today was all about a Greek island.
And that was about it for the day. It wasn’t a bad day really, but it was a bit odd. The morning started well, but the afternoon and evening went down a bit.
