January 2012
I've received quite a few postcards recently, but haven't had time to write them up. I don't really have time to write them up now either, but here goes!
The first one is a card with a Colgate cartoon on it. It is rather funny and quite old fashioned. This one comes from Poland from a woman who is going to night school and then Art School.
This lovely card is from Praha, Czech Republic. It shows a street scene. The sender writes that she teaches English too, but mostly in companies.
This next card has the title "Happily watching its cub" in English shows Lugou Bridge, Beijing, China. It comes from China but the sender is from Russia. They didn't write very much on the card, which is a little sad.
This mischievous young man arrived on my nephew's birthday. Since he's about the same age as the boy in the photo, it made me rather happy. My nephew is a real sweetie, I don't know about the boy on the card. It was sent to me from Belgium. The sender thinks that the little boy is probably all grown up now as it is an older card.
The sender's favourite movie is Close Encounters of the Third Kind, which I have still never seen all the way through!
My final card of these is from Rotterdam, in The Netherlands. I always sing the song by The Beautiful South when I think of Rotterdam, as I really like the song!
This card came from Lenie, but she didn't say very much. I like the card, but
it got a little bit damaged on the journey. Still has some beautiful pictures.
That's it for now. I hope you like the cards that I have received...I do.
