Sunday - Clear and sunny
We went to bed very, very late last night, so we both slept in this morning. F did get up a bit after 11, I stayed in bed rather longer! He made lunch for his mother and himself and then we got ready and went out.
F didn’t want to spend a lot of money so I suggested a cheaper place that he doesn’t like. I later suggested a cheap place that he was okay with, You-me Shokudo, so that’s where we went. It was late in their lunch service, so it wasn’t too busy. I had chicken Namban, and F had ginger pork. We both enjoyed our meals.
Afterwards, F wanted to go and get a massage but the person he wanted to give it to him wasn’t available until 5 pm. I was a little ticked, but whatever. I suggested going to karaoke until his appointment as it was almost 3 pm and we had nothing to do for a while. We tried, I guess I have to give him points for that, but the karaoke box was busy and we couldn’t get in. Sigh.
Instead, we did some grocery shopping and then went to the sushi delivery place to put an order in for tomorrow’s dinner. It is Setsubun, the time of year when people eat huge sushi rolls for no apparent reason that I can see. However, this year, F talked about ordering some for us from the grocery store, but when he got into his bad mood this week he didn’t do it. So, I made him order sushi from the delivery place instead! It’ll come tomorrow night. I do think it’ll be nice for all of us to have a nice dinner together.
We vegged for a few minutes then I asked F to drop me off at S-Mall before he went for his massage. I enjoyed myself wandering around the mall. I’m not saying that I did anything exciting, but it was nice to look at stuff. I bought a few things at the hundred yen shop. I’m going to send one thing to my sister, but the rest is for me!
I ended up in Doutors again, but today I had a cold drink and it was cold. Yay. I nursed it for a while and then F came and joined me when he was done.
I suggested going to karaoke then and having dinner there, but he didn’t want to go. His neck is still acting up and even though he felt better after the massage, he didn’t feel like going. It’s only fun if both of us want to be there.
He wanted dinner so I suggested Sashimiya over the bridge and he was okay with that. It was fairly quiet tonight, so we got in right away. We both had the same thing, Tsukei-Anago. Basically marinated tuna and grilled eel. It was very nice.
We came back to the house when we finished. Surprisingly, K was still up so F went in to talk to her. I came upstairs.
After a while, F came upstairs and I sorted out the garbage upstairs. I got him to come downstairs again with me, and we went through the fridge and threw out a lot of things. K has a habit of keeping a tiny amount of something on a plate, but never going back to it. There were a lot of plates and containers with mystery things on them in the fridge. There were a few things on my shelf too, things I had forgotten about, so I’m not blameless, but the fridge just needed a good cleanout. F was wonderful and washed all the containers for me, I dried them and we were able to give ourselves more room in the fridge.
After that, I took a shower and watched a little TV off the DVR. I discovered tonight that The Good Fight is on the terrestrial NHK programme. I’m not sure why they put it on so late at night on a Sunday. Maybe I will after I watch it.
Anyway, that’s about that. Today wasn’t too bad at all. I’m a bit sad about no karaoke, but what can you do? I did ask him to plan something nice for my lunch on my birthday. I’m going to take a train after lunch, so I’d like to have a nice meal together. Our usual place is closed on a Wednesday, so he’ll have to come up with something else!
Come back later if you like and see how Monday goes. Until tomorrow….
