Monday - Rainy with some snow

I woke up after F left this morning and went downstairs. The first thing I saw was K rummaging around in the fridge. I was worried in case she’d get mad and yell at me for clearing out the fridge, but I needn’t have worried. I think she avoids me if I’m honest!

I had a very quiet day today. I spent most of the day either ripping back some crochet I did this time last year or watching stuff off the DVR. With me going away this week I wanted to have more space on the DVR. It really didn’t get much more complex than that!

I went downstairs at around 5 pm to do my dishes and to wait for the delivery person to arrive. I was doing my dishes when the doorbell rang.  Our dinner was there. I paid the woman and brought everything into the kitchen. I sent F a text to say that the food arrived and waited for him to finish work.  When he did, he called.

Between the time that the food arrived and F arrived, I was a little bit busier. I got all the plates and dishes sorted and ready to go out. Finally, I just decided to put everything on the table in the living room. K seemed very surprised to see the food.

When F came to the house I sent him off to get changed then the three of us had our meal. We had ordered a set from the delivery sushi place and it was nice. We each had some tempura, some soba, some mini-sushi and an eho-maki of negi-tuna. We had some clear soup and a chawanmushi from the shop too.  It was all very nice and we were all quite stuffed afterwards.

F came with me to do the dishes and we soon got them done. It was so much easier with two people than when I have to wash and dry for K and me. 

We came upstairs for a while. I watched Bake-Off and enjoyed it.  

We  went out after Bake-Off, just for a coffee at Komeda, but we were there for about an hour and a half. I was hoping that F would want to talk but he didn’t. I do understand that he wants to chill out with his videos after work but I’d like to talk and stuff.

Still…We came back to the house and I watched The Good Wife. These are the episodes after Will died and I haven’t seen any of them. It really was a great show. Afterwards, I went downstairs and got the pink garbage bag ready to go. There’s no garbage pick up next week due to the holiday, and it starts to pile up otherwise.  When I came back upstairs, F and I did have some PG-13ish couple time…that was really nice. 

And that was my day. I did pack my suitcase today, but I may repack it. I’m also thinking of taking some things out of the case because I usually overpack. I’m considering packing my shoes and wearing my boots to Niigata. Snow has been forecast for this week and I really don’t want to have to buy boots while I’m there. I’ll see what I think.

I’ll probably be here tomorrow night, but after that, I’ll be gone for a few days for my birthday trip. Come back if you like and see what happens. Until tomorrow….
