Tuesday - Sunny and warmish, quite windy though.

A quite good day.

I got up this morning rather late. I completely overslept and when I saw the living room clock was quite embarrassed! It was an hour later than I thought. Yikes.

Still, I managed to get things done, so it wasn’t a big deal. I showered and then came back to the living room to work on my computer stuff. It took a while as one of my go-to sites was down for ages. Yuck.

I was sitting around the apartment when I heard the door open. It was my husband, popping in to get a book. I wasn’t really that happy to see him. I worry that he’s going to be popping in rather a lot in the next 3 years, since he works in Tsuruoka now.

I watched Pulp Fiction again on TV. Can’t believe that it’s on in the middle of the day like that, but it is an awesome film. It holds up rather well.

I left for work today around 5 and made good time. I stopped at the drugstore for a few things, including soap. I am having problems finding decent soap in the stores again. I don’t know if it is because of the earthquake or not.

Got to work on time and started up the heater. I didn’t go to the school yesterday to preheat it. I decided not to bother. I think it was a good call as the afternoon sun had warmed the room and it was about 15 degrees when I got there. The heater got it cozy after a little while.

My student came on time and we had a nice chat. She’d seen a former student of mine within the last few days and she talked about her visit. The woman was also her classmate at my school for a while, so it was nice to hear how she is doing these days. My student and I did some work too, but went off on a couple of odd tangents about the phrase “I’m stuck on…..” We ended up talking about dog pee if you can imagine! It was funny.

After class I read a bit more of the paper and did the school’s dishes. I even washed the teapot which was getting terribly dusty on the cabinet.

F picked me and my bicycle up and then we went home to get his wallet and drop off my bike, then out again to Cocos. It wasn’t too busy tonight so we had a nice meal. I had vegetable pasta with a saled, F had their version of Jambalaya. Mine was really nice, he said his was too.

We came home via the grocery store where I bought ingredients for two nights dinners. I’m going to attempt cooking for two nights in a row. Can I do it? I’m not sure! Most things are back in the grocery store, but they don’t have any yogurt for eating. They have it for drinking, but that isn’t what I want.

We came home and had a quiet night in. There wasn’t anything on TV and F isn’t feeling great, so it was good. He went off to take his bath and I found a David Suzuki documentary about the Alberta Tar Sands so I watched that. It was rather good, but makes everything sound so grim.

I did a round and a half or so of my doily tonight. I did it after I took these pictures, so things have changed a little from this pic. Still, it’s going well and looks very pretty.

Tomorrow I’m a lady of leisure so I’m not sure what I’ll do. Come back and find out what happens! Night.
