Cloudy but not rainy.

This morning Fumihiko got up to go to work and I actually got up with him. I felt really bad for him. He'd gotten home very late and had to leave a little early today too. Of course, as soon as he'd left, I went back to bed and snoozed for a bit longer.

During the day I watched my British drama Ashes to Ashes. The plot is thickening. I wonder what's going to happen. I'm really enjoying the story. I even re-watched the end of Jekyll for good measure.

I went off to work and had a really good class with my student. Last week he'd shown a lot of interest in insects, so today I got out my animal cards and he tried to read some of the animal and insect names. Some he knew of course, but it was nice to see that he really is trying to read.

After his class I cleaned up and sent Fumihiko a text message. I didn't really expect him to be around, but he called me back. He'd just finished work. He came to get me and took me to the grocery store for a few last minute supplies. Then, we came home.

After a bit of work on my computer I made dinner. I was a little ticked because even though I'd told him it was just about ready he didn't come to the table. So, I started without him. That got his attention.

When we finished I asked Fumihiko what to do with the grease from the fry pan. There was a lot today. He suggested putting it down the drain with some dishwashing liquid. I didn't like that idea and said so. He stormed off into the bedroom.

I did the dishes over an hour later when it became clear that his reappearance wasn't imminent. I did not put the grease down the drain.

I'm rather ticked off at my husband, can you tell? So, to that end, I will stop writing this blog tonight, and continue listening to my "5 Star Songs" on iTunes. It is doing miraculous things for my mood. I'm wearing the good headphones too, so I practically can't hear the slurping/crunching noises that are emanating from the couch. Billy Idol, Dwight Yoakum, Toni Basil, and The Talking Heads are good for cheering me up.

Gotta go. Now David Essex is singing "If I Could" and it's one of my oldest favourites. Night night.

OHhh yeah, i know what you mean! Yasu does that to me too!! I will say to him, "i'm serving dinner now" and he doesn't get the hint. So i know how you feel.

I think japanese guys think that if you ask for a suggestion and you give one, then you HAVE to use it. If yasu gives me advice and i don't take it, he gets pissed off just like Fumihiko did. I think that advice is just advice, you don't have to take it up if you don't think it's right.

Have a good day :)
