January 19, 2009 - Monday

Sunny and warmish, bit of rain in the morning.

Today was an okay day. I got up at a reasonable time and checked email. After that, I went back to bed for an hour. I was really tired!

I didn't do much today, just relaxed basically. I did go out in the later afternoon to pay a bill at the post office. I really wanted to get out of the apartment. I rode my bike, as the roads were clear and I wouldn't be riding on sidewalks. I headed off, and near the post office I stopped to let some cars go by. Unfortunately I stopped near a corner and as I was getting off my bike a huge gust of wind blew my bike away from me and my ankle got whacked. Ouch. It still hurts.

I did my business at the post office and then I headed off to a convenience store. I bought a few things for my lunch and then came home.

I ate lunch and then relaxed some more. I had a pretty good day really.

Fumihiko came home and after a while we went out for sushi. It was okay. I don't know, I get really really thirsty after eating sushi. It could be the soy sauce I suppose.

We dropped off my clothes at the school and I set the heater for tomorrow. It was only 10 degrees in there tonight, so I needed to set it.

We bought a few groceries tonight too. I'm going to try and cook dinner for the next two nights in a row. I really don't want to eat out as much as we have been, if I can help it!

We came home and Fumihiko really wanted to watch a dvd. I didn't want to much, but said it was okay. He chose Garfield. He put it on, and in the previews they showed Stuck on You, another dvd that we have. Fumihiko asked me if I wanted to change because we were both laughing really hard at the preview, so we did! Good choice. Stuck on You is surprisingly funny, and touching in a way. Yes it's a Farrelly Brothers film, but it has an amazing amount of heart to it.

We watched ER at 11 and that's about it. Fumihiko watched "stuff" but it wasn't annoying...hurray for that.

I'll likely go to bed soon, I'm a tad tired, and I need all the beauty sleep I can get! Got to go. Night night.

I've always wanted to go to Kyushu for one of those sand baths! They are meant to be really good for your health.

What kind of "stuff" does Fumihiko watch? I'm intrigued.

The usual stuff that Fumihiko watches is the idiot shows where they have a man and a few young over-made up women tittering away at what he says. Sorry, I just can't stand those shows. I wouldn't watch them if they were in English. That and re-enactment shows. I hate those. I NEVER watch them, but he loves them.

I don't know if the sand bath here is like the ones in Kyushu, F said that he had a stone bath. He liked it, but it's not my scene.

Thanks for visiting...

Oh yeah i know the type you mean, those ones with the "talent" girls on them...i'm not much a fan myself, and we only have nhk so we don't get much of those shows. We only get like tameshite gatten which is more educational and have talent on trying to learn stuff and answer questions, thankfully :)

I prefer the education-type shows coz i can learn stuff. It's not inane banter like some of the other channels.

Oh a stone bath, well it sounds like a hot-stone massage, or something similar. It sounds nice.

:)
