Wednesday - Colder, a little snow
I woke up this morning and went downstairs. To be honest, I had the same type of morning that I have on most days. I grabbed breakfast, came upstairs to eat and turned on the TV for a change. There was a documentary on, The Lost Leonardo. I watched it and it was pretty good. It was confusing in the middle when the people speaking French were subtitled in Japanese. Sadly, my French isn’t great after all these years and neither is my Japanese. Still, I understood quite a bit of the film.
In the later part of the afternoon I grabbed lunch. I didn’t see K all day, but I did hear her, and found empty plates in the drying rack, so I knew she ate. Good.
I watched the season 2 finale of The Great British Sewing Bee and it was good. I didn’t guess the person who would win, but they were all very talented sewers.
I watched the news and while I did that, I sorted out some tea that I’m sending to a couple of friends here in Japan.
F called to say he was on his way back a bit after 5, so I went downstairs and got started on dinner. Today was a mainly microwave event. I baked some chicken in the toaster oven, but everything else came from the freezer. We had chicken plus salad, mushrooms, okra and mixed vegetables. K and F got rice as well.
I made F tell K that I’m going out tomorrow. I don’t want her worried if she can’t find me!
I did the dishes which didn’t take long tonight as I didn’t use any pots or pans. I listened to a bit of a new to me podcast, DieHard on a [Blank]. I haven’t finished the first episode yet, but it is going to be how DieHard has influenced action films over the years. I liked what I heard so far. I listen to a lot of film podcasts though!
I came upstairs and relaxed for a while. I took a shower at 10 pm and then instead of watching The Walking Dead at 11 pm, I watched the last episode of Carnival Row’s first season. I thought the second season was already available, but it doesn’t seem to be. Sigh. It was really good though.
And that’s about it. F is hopefully sleeping, and I have to get off to bed soon as I’m off tomorrow as well. I’m going to get my hair cut! Woot!
