Tuesday - Sunny and warmish
I meant to get up early this morning but didn’t. F didn’t either though. He’d taken the day off as he had a relative last week and he had to go to the funeral today. Around 10:30 he left and I got myself up.
I got dressed, made some tea, and opened up my computer, the usual. I even got myself breakfast too.
F came back a little later and after changing we decided to go out for lunch. I suggested F’s favourite fish place and he was happy to go there. We went to Okazaki and had a pretty good lunch. When we left there, we went over to Komeda to have coffee. They were swamped so we had to wait a while. We each had a coffee, mine was decaf, and I nearly fell asleep. I was tired!
We left the coffee shop and I made a quick trip through a store looking for a CD. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it. Oh well. We went back to the house and F took a nap.
A couple of hours later, F wanted to go and pick up his jacket. He’d left it at the funeral and his aunt had taken it home with her. We drove out to Oyama and F went to the house and got his jacket. We tried to go back to Tsuruoka afterwards, but F went in the wrong direction! I told him he did, but he didn’t believe me. We drove past the big pagoda near Oyama but it wasn’t lit up, so we couldn’t see it!
We did come back to Tsuruoka and talked about dinner. F was getting a bit pouty again, so I suggested a nearby restaurant that we rarely go to. We ended up going there and while the food wasn’t fantastic, it was pretty darn good. I had a yakiniku set meal, F had ramen and wonder of wonders, he said it was good. That surprised me!
Next up, we had to do our grocery shopping. I went into the store and picked up a few things. I even picked up F’s alcohol for him, which I don’t really like to do, but…. I got something for K and F’s breakfasts for the next couple of days and some things for dinner too.
We came back to the house and had a fairly quiet evening. I did a bit of crochet, and also made a ball of yarn for my blanket. I tried to watch the rest of Yellowjackets but it looks like it has been pulled from the website. Darn! I only had a few more episodes to watch. I hope they’ll repeat it later in the year. I watched another episode of Shrinking and then put on the FBI show. It was quite a good one, about a hostage-taking in a mall. It was suspenseful.
And that was about it for my day. I’ve been blogging for a while and getting ready for going to bed. It’s late, and that’s where I should head.
