Cold and snowy.

I just took some cold medicine for night, so if there's a misspelling or I don't make any sense, please forgive me.

Today was okay. Fumihiko wasn't feeling well today. I think he's caught whatever cold or flu thing that I have. He spent a good portion of the morning in bed today. Personally though, I got up at just a bit after 9 and watched news. It was nice to see something from outside Japan for a change.

I had a quiet day while Fumihiko was in bed. When he got up and decided to go out for some errands, I asked him to drop me off at my school. He did so.

I had a busy afternoon there. First I did a bit of snow pushing. It wasn't as strenuous as shovelling, but it cleared the snow from my parking space. Then, I went in and started cleaning. I did laundry, washing all the towels that I had left out for public use. I put away the more Christmasy decorations and put a few more colourful ones out. I'm thinking I'll get new ones when I get a chance. I washed all the dishes, including the dishes I use for holding spoons, sugar and creamer. I vacuumed. I dusted. I cleaned basically! I also worked on setting up my calendar for this year. I have a calendar in the lobby, it's very useful for parents whose English isn't good to use to explain that their child can't come on such and such a date...and for me to mark off holidays on. This year, I'm going to try hanging it on my metal door, so I glued some magnet strips to the back of the calendar. The glue was still wet when I left, so I hope it dries in the next two days. And, then, I checked the prep for my first (and only) lesson on Friday.

It was after 7 before I felt that I could leave. I had been quite busy. I didn't really stop for long. I phoned Fumihiko and he picked me up.

We went out for dinner. I think I'm going to have to put that chicken in the freezer....We went to Cocos and both had the same thing. Tonight we tried their Mega Hamburg steak. It was good, but honestly, I wouldn't have it again. It was just too big. I couldn't finish it. For me, the problem was texture. The hamburger patties were too similar and the other foods with it, fried egg, bacon, tomato sauce, just had the same consistancy. The potatoes on the side were sort of a sliced-fried/roasted thing and were nice.

We came home after dinner and watched Pirates of the Caribbean : At World's End. My new dvd, by my request. It was good. I think I liked some of it more the second time because I knew more about where the story was going. I do think that Elizabeth got shafted though. She only gets to see Will every 10 years. Not fair!

After the movie, I came on-line and did a bunch of computer stuff, while Fumihiko watched a really bizarre Japanese movie from the 70's or 80's. He seemed quite into it, so I didn't hassle him.

I'm going to get off line now. My head is pounding. I was hoping that the cold medicine I took would help with my headache, but so far it hasn't. I am getting sleepy though, so that's a good thing. Perhaps I'll get a good night's sleep.

Got to go. Night night.
