February 8, 2008 - Friday

New snow overnight, sunny in the afternoon.

I got up to a Winter Wonderland again today. Bleck. If it doesn't stop snowing soon, I'm going to complain most vigourously to someone. Not sure to whom though.

I did my usual morning stuff, and just relaxed. It was nice to be at home and alone for a change. I drank coffee, showered, and enjoyed myself.

I watched some of the TV that I'd taped when I was away. Some of it was fun. I had seen Ugly Betty in Sendai, but the TV in the hotel room didn't let me watch it in English. I got some of the story, but not all of it.

I ate an early lunch. I didn't have an omelette as someone ate most of my eggs (I didn't really mind!) so I had a bagel with tuna salad on it. I also had a few sausages. It was quite nice really.

I walked off to the school just after 3. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to shovel snow when I got to the school. The main roads were mostly fine and the sidewalks seemed to be clear. At the apartment building, the front entrance was clear so I had high hopes. I dropped off my backpack and grabbed my shovel just in case. I got to the parking lot and was sad. There was about 10 cm of snow on my parking space. And someone had driven their car over it. When I shovelled the snow, the parts that had tire tracks on them were compacted into the cement and hard to get off. Ack. Still, it didn't take that long to clear the space. I went out to the entryway. I moved a few big chunks of icy snow. They looked like they could cause some damage to the bottom of someone's car. When I finished, I went back to my school.

Classes were fine tonight. The child's lesson was okay, and the two adult ones I had were good. So, not a bad evening.

Fumihiko picked me up and we went to M's Dining for dinner. We had a huge meal and ordered things that we usually don't. He said he was really hungry. Anyway, we enjoyed our meal and then came home.

We watched Grey's Anatomy from last weekend. It was quite good, but a bit surreal. We'll have to tune in tomorrow night to see how it ends.

And that was it. My day. It was okay. Quiet, but really, that's okay.

Night night.
