Friday

Lots of snow in the morning, turning to slush in the afternoon.

Since I'm going to leave you for a few days, I thought I'd present you with a few vignettes from my day.

Omelette de jour...buta-tama-kimchee with cheese and ham. Yum. But killer breath afterwards.

Riding my bike to the post office and then paying a couple of bills for my school at the post office machine. It was a bit challenging using the machine in Japanese, but I finally got it to work.

When the doorbell rang for my 5:00 pm class, seeing all the way up a huge nose in the monitor. My student, a joker at the best of times, decided to get up close and personal with the camera. I'm still laughing about it!

Fixing the light on my bike and then having it work while I rode back home.

Having dinner in a restaurant by myself and ordering everything in Japanese.

Coming home and seeing my husband again. Drinking some wonderful decafe coffee that he made for me.

I'll be in Sendai until Monday. I will blog, but probably won't be able to post until I return. Night all...have a good weekend.

Kudos to you for doing it in Japanese. The p.o. machine by my house has instructions in English. Tell them they need to get one with English! Japan is "internationalized" after all, right?

The machine is in English too, but I don't think the bill payment part works in English. I've never been able to make it work anyway! Maybe "gaijin" don't pay bills???

Just shutting down my computer now to catch the bus! Bye!
