April 11, 2008 - Friday

Rainy and drizzly most of the day.

A good day today, really. I got up, had an average day at home and then went to work. My class went well too.

After class I checked the set up for tomorrow's classes. I'll be busy. No one has cancelled, so I'll have four classes. On Saturday, they're all quite tightly spaced, especially the middle two, so it can be a bit tricky if someone stays late or comes early.

I called Fumihiko to ask him to pick me up, but I didn't get an answer. I left a message and he called me back. He had just finished work. Poor thing. He picked me up and I smelled something. Cigarettes. He's been pretty good, he quit smoking a few years ago. I know he sneaks the odd one, but I noticed that yesterday he smelt a bit off, and today too. He confessed he'd smoked a bit today and yesterday. Considering what happened in February this year, he can just blooming well stop again, as far as I'm concerned. And no, I won't say what happened!

We went out for dinner to the new place that's opened near our apartment. It's called Grado and it was nice. It used to be a ramen shop, but now it's quite a nice little Italian place. I had carbonara (it really IS my favourite) and it was good. I also had a special set with that. For 500 yen I got appetizers, soup, coffee and gelato. I had my choice of bread, rice or gelato, but I chose dessert. It was definitely worth the money. Fumihiko had black seafood curry. It was curry made with squid ink sauce, with lots of shellfish in it. It looked good, but made a terrible mess. He got coffee and soup with his. It was worth going to again I think. It wasn't the best carbonara ever there, but it was nice and the atmosphere was pleasant. I also told Hubby that we could walk there in summer if he wanted and he could have a drink with dinner.

We came home, and I spent quite a bit of time on Youtube. I've been inputting a lot of cds into my computer and have been thinking about 80's music. I watched a video from a Canadian band called Cats Can Fly, and also, one of my favourites from when I lived in Edmonton. This isn't a proper music video...it was from a cool math oriented show for kids called Square One Television. So, everyone, I present to you, for your viewing pleasure....Plane Geometry with their song "Angle Dance".

I also wanted to read the news so I discovered that through the CBC News website, I could also watch Coronation Street. Hurray! I haven't watched it in years. I watched an episode and it was cool to see it again.

Well, tomorrow is a busy day, and I know that if I can get this clip done right, you will be so busy singing along with Angle Dance that you won't even miss me. Got to go! Night night.
