January 17, 2009 - Saturday

Light snow, warm day.

I had a mostly good day today. I got up early, showered and then watched my murder and mayhem show (Criminal Minds) while I cooked breakfast. Yep, you saw that right. I cooked breakfast this morning. We had omelettes and sausages. Yummy.

Fumihiko drove me to my school and then proceeded to shovel the snow for me. He did it very quickly. I did a bit too, we both attacked the entry-way. The snowplow had dumped a bit of snow in front of it, but it wasn't completely blocked like last year.

My student came on time and we had a good lesson. After she was finished I did up my paperwork and had a cup of tea. I just relaxed a bit.

Around 3 I sent Fumihiko a text message. No answer. I called him a few minutes later. He was at home making toast. Once again, he hadn't seen my message. Now, this ticked me off rather a lot. I told him when he left that I would like to leave around 3 so it's not like he shouldn't have been expecting me to contact him. He came to get me, but arrived well after 3:30. I wasn't too pleased to be frank. I could have walked home in less time. If this was just a once in a while thing I wouldn't care, but he's done the same thing to me a lot lately. He never checks his phone. It is so irritating. I'm afraid that when he did arrive I wasn't too nice about it.

We came home for a while. After a bit we decided to go out for dinner and then to see the new Bond movie. We did a bit of humming and hawing about where to go, then I suggested the tonkatsu place. We went there and it was nice. We had their special menu which was rather yummy. We had tonkatsu with mench cutlet, appetizers, miso soup, and dessert.

We drove out to the mall and then hacked around for a while. We were quite early so we spent time in the craft center. It's actually annoying for me because I wanted to do that by myself. I know that Fumihiko must have been bored silly, but he was always 2 steps behind me. We even stopped at Baskin Robbins for some deliciousness.

The movie, Quantum of Solace, was great. It probably wasn't as good as Casino Royale, but I rather enjoyed it. Lots of action and Judi Dench. What more could you want?

We came home and watched Gray's Anatomy and then Project Runway. Fumihiko made some carbonara ramen for us. It was okay, but not great. That's about it for my day.

Overall, it was a good day. Hurray. Tomorrow I have no idea what will happen. Wish me luck!
