Cloudy, bit rainy in the evening.
Today was an okay day. I really didn't want to get up this morning. Could have something to do with staying up even later than normal last night. Why do I do that to myself? I have no idea. Just don't want to go to bed I think.
I had a pretty good day. I didn't watch as much TV as usual as they weren't putting on the good stuff lately.
My lunch was the remainder of the leftover stirfry. I refried the veggies and then poured 2 beaten eggs over them. It was sort of a poor woman's okonomiyaki. As I did that, I made a bet with myself that Fumihiko would suggest going to the okonomiyaki restaurant tonight.
I was able to ride to work today, and did so uneventfully. My class today went okay, but not great. I did try to see how much the student could write on his own, but unfortunately it isn't much. I'm going to start working on that.
After class was over, I relaxed for a bit, did paperwork, and then sent Fumihiko a message. The phone system said he couldn't get messages at the moment. I waited and sent another one after 15 minutes. Same thing. Then, a bit later I called him to see if he was done. For some reason his phone didn't even ring, the answering machine just picked up. I didn't even notice for 20 seconds, then realized I was paying for dead air! I said hi and asked him to call me.
A couple of minutes after 7 he called me back. He picked me up and of course suggested going to the okonomiyaki restaurant! I begged off and asked for another place. We ended up going to Grado. It was really busy tonight when we were there. We both had pasta. Usually, it is great, but tonight, I don't think that the chef had cooked it thoroughly. It felt a little more than "al dente" and there were a couple of pieces of penne at the end that were downright tough. Maybe he didn't stir the pasta while cooking it? Still, all in all it was quite nice. However, their waitstaff isn't the greatest! A couple of the waitresses are okay, but the others have a habit of bringing over our dishes before they've cleared the previous courses plates away. It means the waiters are reaching over our food and getting in our way.
We came home and had a very quiet evening at home. Fumihiko found the Golden Globes on TV so I made him watch it. I knew who people were, but I don't think that he did. He fell asleep on the couch. Afterwards he found a movie with Judi Dench and Maggie Smith for me. I liked it. It was wonderful to see the grand doyennes of British stage and screen on their game.
Fumihiko went to bed ages ago, and I should go too. I have a semi busy day tomorrow at work. We also might go out tomorrow evening. Mamma Mia has just come to town and we might go. We might wait until Sunday too, the timing isn't great tomorrow night and I think it's cheaper on Sunday. So, tune in tomorrow and find out what we do!
Night.

It's funny how after a while of being with someone you get on the same wavelength! Seems like you were both thinking of okonomiyaki.
I sometimes get that with Yasu too. I'll have made something with pork like bulgogi, and he'll come home and say "how did you know i really wanted to eat pork bulgogi tonight?". :)
