March 12, 2009 - Thursday

An okay day.

I did my usual things this morning, but didn't have my shower until quite late. I was busy in the morning. I put away a lot of my clothes and I also was on the telephone a lot. Those of you who know me, know that I don't do telephones, so it was rather traumatic! Fumihiko called me twice, and a student called me in between his calls.

I watched some taped TV and also the WOWOW stuff. They're re-playing Re-Genesis now and I am enjoying it the second time around. I have no idea how good/bad the science is, but I enjoy the show. Hurray for cheapie Canada TV.

I had quite a yummy omelette today. I had a spinach, ham and cheese omelette for lunch. It wasn't the regular cheese slices that I used, I bought more expensive Kraft Chedder cheese slices. They weren't bad. Quite an improvement over the plasticky Japanese ones I usually buy.

I cycled off to work around 5 pm. It was still light out. Hurray for that. I did stop at a drug store to get more iron pills and some other things. I told the clerk I didn't need a bag and just stuffed everything in my backpack.

Classes at my school went well. The children's class happened for the first time in weeks and the adult one was fun. Yay.

After classes, my prep for tomorrow and the clean up of today, I called my husband and he picked me up. He took me to the grocery store where we got a few things and then came home. He'd been busy making stew tonight, so that's what we had. We had cream stew with daikon salad. It was nice. I made the coffee and set the table and after washed the dishes. When I was clearing the table I noticed that the second packet of meat that we bought for the stew didn't make it into the stew! Dear dear.

We had a quiet evening, the two of us. Fumihiko watched some stuff, and it was actually not objectionable! I ended up watching Cool Japan while he was showering. It was an interesting topic, all about funerals. I've still never been to a Japanese funeral. I hope that I can still say that in ten years.

That's it for me. I've had a pretty good day. The weather was okay, not great, but not rainy or snowy, so can't ask for much better in March. Night!
