Muggy and hot, threatening rain most of the day.
I had a good day today. I got up early and watched the news and drank a cup of coffee. It must have been just after hubby left because I found his half empty cup on the table and it was still quite warm. After the news was over, I went back to bed. I haven't been sleeping well. I'm a bit worried what's going to happen when it's 35 degrees at night. Ack.
I got up again, showered and spent a couple of hours surfing the net. I got ready for work but left a little later than I wanted. I got to my school around 1:20 for my 2 pm lesson. I got things ready and we had a good lesson. My 3 pm lesson also went well. I'm glad to say the student is feeling a bit more challenged these days. At first she thought the lessons were too easy.
My five pm student was sick and had called earlier in the day to tell me, so I did a quick drugstore run. I got some soup pasta mix and came back. I spent a couple of hours doing paperwork, reading newspapers and eating my mini-lunch.
The last class went well. I started working on collocations for the student. They're in the book, but also today I used some other ones.
Fumihiko wasn't feeling well when I called for a pick up, but he came anyway. Gotta love that. When we got home he continued making dinner. I helped a bit, I made coffee and I cooked the broccoli. Tonight we had garlic pork saute, sauted spinach, broccoli, miso soup and coffee. It was very nice. And, he even did the dishes. Yes, I did offer.
We watched American Idol and it was okay. I'm not sure if the right person got turfed, but he wasn't going to win it anyway. He really wasn't good enough to win.
Fumihiko went to bed and I'll hopefully go soon.
I don't work tomorrow, but I have a bookmooch to send so I'm sure that I'll get out of the apartment to do that. I'm hoping that I'll go for coffee or something like that too.
