Saturday - Cloudy and cool, sunny at times.

A good day.

I got up this morning, I didn’t want to, but I did. I showered and then got ready for going to the dentist.

F and I arrived, but we had to wait for a while. She looked at my teeth and thinks I should have some fillings changed as she thinks I have a problem with a hidden infection. Sigh.

After the dentist we went to S-Mall for lunch and to pick up some travel brochures. F gets to take 6 days off between now and September so he’d like to go somewhere. Any ideas? Cheap is good, but Guam is a bit boring as we’ve been there a few times.

I came back to the apartment while F went to take Gombei to the vet. He came back a bit later and said the vet wasn’t open right now. I took a bit of a nap, I was really sleepy. While I was sleeping, F tried to go to the vet again, but it still wasn’t open! Instead, he took his mother shopping.

When he came back, we went out to the mall in Mikawa. I wanted to get a few things and F was along for the ride!

I went over to the craft store and found some funky cool yarn. I want to make something quick for my niece. The yarn has spangles in it. I think that is a nice touch. After the yarn, we went and did a little shopping at Uniqlo.

We left it too late for a movie, so had a drink at Seattle’s Best and then talked about dinner. We decided to drive out to Sakata and have Indian food. That’s what we did!

We went to Sita, and had a nice meal. It wasn’t fabulous-super wonderful or anything, but it was nice. We paid and then came home.

We’ve had a quiet evening at home, watching Top Gear now and will soon switch over to Heroes. I want to get off the computer so that I can do a bit of crochet. Got to go! Night.

A lot of my students pop over to Korea for cheap and short vacations. I'm not sure if you've already been there or have little interest in it, but it's certainly a more interesting prospect than Guam culturally.

I'm interested, but F isn't. I'd really like to go to see it, some of my students have gone as well and like it a lot, but.....

Thanks for the idea though!

Hong Kong? Someone I know called it the Asian Las Vegas--if you're into such things!

We went to HK last year (our second time) but it was still too hot and we ended up fighting on the last day and very nearly didn't come home on the same airplane!

Macao has more casinos though...and we spent a day there. It was interesting, but very small.
