Tuesday - Hot and sunny

A good day. I overslept today. There was none of this getting up and then going back to sleep, I just overslept. Sigh. Not so good, but so what.

I got up, made the bed and showered. I had a quiet morning and then in the early afternoon I went off to the post office. I had a Book Mooch and also I had to pay a bill. After the post office, I hit up a convenience store for some lunch. I came home and ate and worked on my computer for a bit.

I wasn’t really hungry before I went to work, so I just scrambled an egg for myself to have a bit of protein and then headed off on my way. I originally planned to go to the drug store, but changed my mind. I didn’t really need to anymore.

My school was hot, but I used the fan and got it much cooler. I did a bit of tidying up, setting up and then read a couple of newspapers. I also did a bit of a jigsaw puzzle I’m working on. Van and Joe gave it to me for Christmas. It’s very difficult…it’s an optical illusion and all the pieces are black and white. The surprising thing is that I found about 5 pieces almost right away today. I gave myself 10 minutes to work on it so I thought that was excellent.

When my student came we had a good lesson. We talked about the house from Home Alone. It’s on sale, and there was a newspaper article about it that we went over today. It was interesting. After that, we worked on a mind map of fears. My student has some good ideas. We’ll continue and hopefully finish this up next week.

After a bit of a clean up I called F to pick me up. We had an okay dinner in Cocos. F wasn’t happy with his food. Quelle surprise! I gave him the benefit of my menu-fu at dinner. I told him not to order food he really loves at a restaurant like we were at. It would only disappoint him. Much better to order something he didn’t really care about, then he wouldn’t be terribly disappointed…but could be quite happy with if it turns out good. I’m sure he won’t listen.

We came home and had a very quiet evening. We didn’t even turn on the TV at all. I was on my computer and F was on his computer. It was all very civilised!

And that’s about it for my day. Tomorrow I may go out or I may stay home. I’m not really sure. It depends on the weather really. I’ll try and write tomorrow night. Until then, good night.
