Sunday - Hot and sunny during the day, torrential rain all through the night

A good day today. I stayed up a bit late last night. F finally came home just a bit after Heroes finished. Good timing for me as if he’d come in at the end of Heroes I wouldn’t have been pleased!

F came home smelling like smoke. He didn’t smoke, it was the people that he was with. Urgh. I suggested he take a shower, but he was too tired and just went to bed. 5 minutes after he arrived home, the rain started. It got to be just like a tap outside and went on all night.

I stayed up a bit longer, restarted my crochet and am much happier with it now. Hurray.

Today I finally got myself out of bed around 12:30. No big whoop as F wasn’t up early for a change. We vegged for a while and then went out for brunch. F had wanted sushi, but I begged off as my stomach is still in a delicate state. We went to Jiro instead and had a very good lunch.

We did a bit of shopping afterwards. I’m looking for a file cabinet for our apartment. I want at least a two-drawer one, one for my stuff and one for his. I’m afraid his’ll be stuffed sooner than mine. However, we couldn’t find any. There was one in a second hand store, but it was small and really expensive. No thanks.

We ended up at the Co-op Mall and visited the 100 yen shop for some stuff. He needed handkerchieves, I needed glasses holders. My last one’s loop broke and I wanted a new one. I managed to get a couple, one for my new glasses too. We had a drink and an ice cream at McDonalds, then came home. F left again to take something to his mother’s home.

We had dinner at Togashi, the yakiniku place. I wanted something fairly plain, and it seemed to work. I didn’t have any spicy food.

We hit the grocery store on the way home too. I think I’ll cook tomorrow night.

At home, we had a quiet evening. Really, we just worked on our respective computers. At 12:55 I watched Veronica Mars, which might have been the last episode, I’ll have to check. It was a great show, too bad it didn’t last. It was nice to see a smart heroine.

And that’s about it. I’ll probably go to bed soon. It’s still terribly hot here and I still haven’t turned on the air conditioner. I could, but I really do need to toughen up, and I can still stand it. I can tell that I will probably give in soon, but for now, I’m holding firm. Well, firm-ish!
