Sunday - Hot, humid and sunny

I went to bed terribly late last night, and when I got up this afternoon felt awful. I was covered in sweat and just felt run down. Urgh. After a bit of sports drink I started to feel more human. I got dressed and the hubster and I went out for “breakfast”.

We had a nice brunch at Grado. Today I had roast beef with a balsamic sauce and it was amazing. Really nice. F had fish, bream. He liked his, but mine looked better!

After lunch we visited an electronics store where we picked up a new light bulb, some vacuum bags (guess I can’t use that excuse any more) and a new fan! Yay! Of course, I fell in love with a fan that was 20,000 yen, but we didn’t buy it. It was nice. You could just adjust the fan speed by twirling the dial. There was no low, medium, high buttons like on most of them. The downside was there were only two height levels. So, we got a cheap one, under 3000 yen, but it does the job. It’s been helping spread the air from the air conditioner and tonight has been much more comfortable in the apartment. Yay.

We drove around for a bit, visited the Kokusai Mura, and then the nearby McDonalds where F saw an old friend of his. Or rather, I saw him first and tried to point him out to F, but F couldn’t see him. Men!

We came home for a while after this and vegged. Properly, I was supposed to be finding a good bus tour for our trip, and F was supposed to set up the fan. I also thought I’d find him a fishing trip, but that was a little tricky. I had one a few weeks ago that seemed okay, but now I can’t find the company. Sigh. F seems a little bereft that I don’t want to go on a fishing trip with him, but for heaven’s sake. I want to go shopping without him!

We had dinner in Jiro tonight, although we tried to go to the tonkatsu place. It was packed though (not a good sign when there’s a tour bus in the parking lot) and so we went to Jiro. I was happy. I like Jiro a lot more anyway! I had something new for me, the yakiniku plate, and F had my usual. Mine was good, his was okay he said.

We bought a few groceries on the way home tonight. I’m going to cook chicken and hopefully tomorrow morning throw together stuff and make a pasta salad. The recipes I found all say to refrigerate it all day. Just hope I get up on time!

After midnight, I watched Jennifer’s Body which was odd. I’m not really surprised that it wasn’t a hit. Was it a horror movie? An indictment of teen girls? A diatribe on the perils of underage drinking/having sex/rock bands or what? Some great ideas there, but not put out there well enough.

And that’s it for my day. I’m going to try and get to bed soon. Catch you tomorrow night I hope. Night.

You're lucky because you could bet new electric fan--- SENPUKI. Though I don't look for one, my friend is still looking for a new fan.

Yes, the fan has helped a lot! Even today, I was able to manage at home without turning on the Air Conditioner until quite late, because I ran the fan instead. Yay!

Maybe your friend should come up here to buy one! Actually though, the stores up here have just started getting them again. Maybe she should just check her local stores! (Check hardware stores too...they often have them!)
