Sunday - Warm and sunny

I stayed up very very late last night. I was on my computer and was stuck in the middle of something and couldn’t get out of it, so I was up until daylight again.

I did manage to get out of bed around noon though, so that was an achievement of sorts. I did some computer stuff and then F and I went out for brunch. We went with his choice today, Edoichi, the yakiniku buffet. It was okay. It wasn’t crowded, it was quite clean but we both ate too much. F in particular, I was a little worried about him.

We also visited Yamaya and I only bought a few things for a change. I got some fresh pasta, sauce, and couscous. Yum. We headed from there over to the 100 yen shop where I only got myself a new seat cover for my bicycle and a set of pencil leads. Apparently they smell like strawberries! (Just back from checking, the lead does smell like strawberries, but I’m wondering if it is the case that does that, or the actual lead?)

We came home afterwards because we had no plans and had both eaten too much to want to move. We vegged at home for a while. F watched lots of TV which I really didn’t grudge him as I have been watching a lot this week.

We decided to go out in the evening to the DVD rental shop. I have a new column coming up and I wanted to do some research. We combed the store looking for dvds in my field of interest and only found 2. I didn’t want to just rent one or two films, so I have abandoned the idea for now, unless I can get F to take me to the other rental place tomorrow night. Fingers crossed.

We came home via the grocery store, more to buy things for F’s breakfast and our dinner on Tuesday than anything else. I’m going out for dinner tomorrow night with a friend, so I won’t be cooking. We’re going to a concert on Tuesday, so need a quick and easy dinner we can grab before the show. F especially, as he’ll be coming home from work and getting ready right away.

Neither of us felt like going out for dinner so we didn’t. We came home and F had a quick snack and then I did. I really didn’t want to have lunch there, but as I said to F, he didn’t have to pay for a big dinner for us! Ha.
