Tuesday - Rainy

An okay day.

I woke up fairly early today and got up and had breakfast.  I watched House as is my wont and then did a few things.  I wrapped a couple of presents that I’m sending to older relatives, then stamped my cards that I wrote last night. A few years ago I bought a stamp that I could put my own address in.  Makes things at Christmas easier, except I have to let the ink dry.

In the afternoon I walked to the post office.  I had a lot to do.  I sent off the packages and the cards, I also sent off a Yupack envelope to another woman in my group.  That was funny, because I’d never used one before!  The post office lady told me the price but I was distracted and didn’t understand that her “go hyakku en” (500 yen) didn’t mean “go ju en” (50 yen).  I put a hundred yen coin down and then she very politely asked for more money!  I’ve been making dumb mistakes quite often lately.  Sigh.

I came home and then when F came home started to make dinner.  I steamed some chicken breasts and then boiled pasta.  We had a nice dinner of cheese pasta and chicken, plus salad.  It was really nice and not a lot of fuss.

In the evening I wrote some Christmas cards and F did something.  I really don’t know what he did!  I set up the bread maker a bit later, but something seems a bit odd as it hasn’t moved at all since I started the machine.  I did an internet search and have unplugged the machine to see if I can reset it.  Hopefully it’s something minor.  I haven’t been using it that long at all.

That’s about it for my day.  Tomorrow I hope to write a few more Christmas cards and then get them sent out in the afternoon.  Wish me luck with that.  Got to go.  Night!
