Friday - Rainy, snowy with bonus earthquake
What a day. I woke up before my alarm and then went back to sleep and woke up late. Ack! Granted my class wasn’t early, but I really didn’t need to waste that time. I ate some yogurt and watched the end of House.
I had a pleasant morning and then after my lunch I headed off to my school. It was really cold outside and windy too. I got there and got to work. Happily my school was warm and I got ready.
My class was fine and my student left happy. I spent quite a while doing paper work and bringing my books up to date. I was doing paperwork when something happened. My earthquake alarm went off! And then, the room began to shake. And shake. And shake. It took a few minutes to settle down. I was a bit freaked. I don’t have a TV there and I was worried that the power might go off. I grabbed my jackets, my flashlight in the school and waited to see what would happen. Not much did, happily.
A little later, I got a couple of messages from F and he came and picked me up. And that’s when my day went downhill.
He asked me about going to the doctor tomorrow morning. I said it was okay, but I didn’t want him screaming at me and getting angry with me. I also don’t want to go at 9 am on the dot. I have to have a shower and I need a little more time. He got angry with me, said he didn’t scream at me. Okay, fair enough. He doesn’t scream, he just pouts and whines and since I’m sick enough to go to a doctor, makes me feel even worse than I did before. I don’t want that. For some reason, he’s still angry at me about that.
We sat in the car on the road and didn’t talk for a while. Finally I asked him about dinner and got more crap from him. After much prodding from me, he suggested a restaurant that he likes. I don’t like it, but said I’d go. After that, he got friendlier and suggested somewhere else, and then somewhere else! We ended up at Cocos Ichibanyo and had a pretty good meal.
We came home afterwards and F decided to go to bed…after a second dinner and beer. He’s been in bed ever since.
I stayed up and as there was nothing on TV I watched something on line and then Touch followed by Shameless. they were fun. I’m now on my second episode of The Actor’s Studio. Jim Carrey was on first and was quite interesting, and now James Franco. He’s interesting too.
Anyway, that’s it for me for today. Tomorrow I may or may not go to the doctor, hopefully will have a class, and might even go and see a movie in the evening. If my husband decides to talk to me that is! Got to go. Night.
PS…Just wanted to say that it was quite a big earthquake, but only a level 3 around here. I haven’t heard about any major problems that have happened because of it.
