Tuesday - Snowy and colder
An okay day.
I got up this morning but it was hard! The apartment was cold and my bed was warm. I managed it though. Hurray for that.
I watched some TV and then took my shower. Before I took it I was watching a documentary about women’s soccer in Iran. It was fascinating. After my shower I caught the end of it and then wonder of wonders, there was news on in English. I got to see both the US ABC news and British BBC news. I missed almost all of SATC and I didn’t care one bit!
I took another nap around 12:15 today. I slept for most of the hour I’m afraid. I’m not sure if I’m turning into a grizzly bear or if something else is going on. I even went to bed early last night! Well, early for ME.
I got up and started making my lunch. Today I had a lovely omelette. I had a cheese and shrimp one and it was great. I haven’t had many omelettes lately…I miss them. After lunch and then dishes, I set out on my way to work. And immediately came back in the apartment to get my watch.
It took a while to walk the distance. It wasn’t bad out there, just a lot of new snow. We hadn’t had too much until today. I made a stop at a drugstore to pick up a few things then continued to my school.
I dumped my bag and then hit up the parking lot to shovel snow. It was light and I got my space cleared. Then I did a bit from my space to the building. Then, I did a little at the front of the building. I went into the school and proceeded to get ready for my class. I forgot to turn on the water pot until it was almost too late. A little before my lesson I went outside again to check the parking space and there was a car parked in it and a guy in front of it on the phone.
I was a bit ticked off and asked him in English to move his car. He told me in Japanese that he was one of the cleaners (I think). I said I didn’t care and to move his car because I needed the space at 5 pm. I didn’t clear the space which I pay for so somebody I don’t know could park there! He finally moved his car.
I went back into the school and got a call from my student. She wasn’t able to come today. Something had come up at work. Sigh. I was really hoping she’d come so that she’d be in my parking space!
Since I had the time free and I don’t feel right about leaving early on her dime, I decided to do some bookkeeping. I got out the receipts and my bank books and finished up to the end of November. I’ll have to update my passbooks before I can finish off 2012. Hurray for me.
I called F and he picked me up. We had a nice dinner in Cocos. It was surprisingly cheap tonight. Neither of us had anything too expensive, plus we had a discount from our card and a 500 yen coupon. Yeah!
We came home via the grocery store. We got more flour since we’ve become bread-making fools and other things. We’re planning on having a nabe tomorrow night, so will go back for more stuff after F finishes work tomorrow.
We had a quiet night in. F set up the bread maker for tomorrow. He seems to really enjoy waking up to fresh bread! I watched the new season of Criminal Minds and then turned off the TV.
Tomorrow, I’m not sure what I’ll do. I have a lot of things that I could do, just not sure what I will do! Wish me luck with that. Night.
