Tuesday - Sunny and warmish

A surprisingly nice day.  I got up this morning and showered, then settled in to some computer stuff and my morning telly.  I got a text from F to say that he was going to take the afternoon off work.  I was a little surprised, but I had a class anyway.

He came home for lunch bringing bentos and then went back to work for a little while.  He came back after 1:30 and I was at home still chilling out.

Around 2:30 I got a call from my student to say that she wasn't able to come to my school today.  Woot!  The afternoon off after all.  We needed to go to my school to turn off the heater, but then we were free.  F asked me to check on movie schedules and I did.  Oz the Great and Powerful would start at Mikawa at 16:50, so if we hurried, we could get to the theater on time.

We did the school quickly, then drove to the Mall in Mikawa.  We paid our money and were able to see the movie.  It was okay.  It looked beautiful, and being a Sam Raimi film had the obligatory Bruce Campbell cameo.  I enjoyed the film, although I really don't have a need to see it again.

After the movie, F and I did a little window shopping.  We checked out the kitchen goods store, then the Aeon craft department.  I have a discount card there and the offer expires tomorrow.  I didn't buy anything, just drooled a little.

We decided to go for okonomiyaki at the place behind the mall. It's a cook your own kind of place.  We went there and it wasn't busy at all, so we got a table instead of the sit on the floor type.  We had two different kinds, one with chicken nankotsu , and one with spiced beef.  We also ordered a cheese yaki, which was sort of a crepe with cheese in it.  I made that and it was nice.  I could probably replicate it at home.

We came home afterwards. At home, we just vegged for a while.  I did a bit of crochet, and started my third ball of yarn.  It's going quite well.  It's nice to work on a smallish project for a change!

So, there it is, my day.  It was quite nice. It was very different than I expected it would be, but I like that! Got to go.  Night.
