Monday - Rainy and cloudy and cool

A good day.  

I had a hard time getting up and staying up this morning.  I tried very hard but ended up snoozing through NCIS: LA.  Sigh.  After a bit, I got dressed properly and had breakfast.  

In the afternoon I watched a  few of the things on the DVR and did a bit of crochet on my blanket. It’s going fairly well.  I joined a few more squares onto it and paid attention to the trouble spots on it.

I went down for lunch and after I cut my bagel I washed the knife. For some reason, I ended up cutting my thumb with the bread knife. I had no idea it was that sharp!  I didn’t know where any band-aids were downstairs, so I had to go upstairs to get one.  

Lunch was great. I had a cheese bagel, plus some fried chicken that I didn’t eat yesterday, plus a salad. It was very nice.  

My friend sent me a text to see if I’d be around later on so she could pick up her books.  I knew she’d need them today, so I had them ready for her.  She told me she’d come after her class finished, around 5:30.  After the news, after watching a little more on the telly, I went downstairs to wait for her. I waited a long time!  She took rather a long time, for reasons that turned out to be fine, before she came to pick up the books.  We chatted about some of the students and classes and then she had to go.  While I was outside I was bitten by a lot of mosquitos.  They were horrible. I’m still itching from them and have big bumps all over my legs and arms.  

F came home just before my friend left and brought his mother some dinner and us some ice cream.  He wanted to go to the onsen tonight so we decided to have dinner together first. 

We tried to go to the Thai restaurant, but it was closed so I suggested going back to Foodever, where we had our spat last week.  This time it was open and we both had gapao rice and enjoyed it.  

After, we drove to the onsen. F made use of the bath, I made use of the free wifi and the comfy chairs. I did a little crochet and also a little internet surfing.  

We came back to the house around 10 pm and F plied us with ice cream. Yay.  I took a shower and watched Bake-off, which I’d recorded earlier while we were out. 

And really, I think that is it. F is snoozing away and I need to get some sleep.  It was cooler today and I’m totally loving it.  I really hope that tomorrow is cool too.  Come back later and find out what I get up to. Until tomorrow….
