Saturday - Sunny and warm

We all slept in this morning but roused ourselves around 11:30ish. We went out for a yummy lunch to Kitchen Futaba and even took K with us. I had quiche, she had pork-donburi and F had the baguette sandwich.

We went back to the house for a few minutes. F cleaned up the car a bit and then he and I went off to his car dealership for his maintenance check. We had a drink there, but afterwards, we walked over to Cocos. I had originally thought to just have dessert and drink bar there, but then F ordered noodles! I had an order of fries to share with F and that was nice. Of course, F didn’t like his noodles (and I had told him beforehand that he wouldn’t) so it was a bit pointless really.

F got his car back soon after and we went off to S-Mall. Once there, F went to the bookstore and I went to Daiso, the hundred yen shop. I had a good look around and got a few things. One of the most interesting was a new knitting loom. The size is adjustable and the frame is flexible. I’m intrigued and I hope I can make something from it!

We had a drink in Doutors for a while. We really just wanted to use the wifi. F watched Fishing videos, he watched them all through lunch too. Now, is it just me, or isn’t it really rude to watch things on cell phones when having lunch with other people? I’m not an angel, I check my phone at lunch or other times, but I generally don’t become absorbed in it to the exclusion of all else.

I had a really hard time getting F to move his butt after the coffee.  I reminded him that we wanted to see a movie and it started in two hours time. In that time we had to get something for dinner, eat it, clean up and then go to the theatre.

We went to the grocery store and picked up a bento for his mother and a few things for us. Once again I was subjected to raw fish for dinner. It was so unnecessary since I had bought myself some chicken. He forced it on his mother too, who had the most of any of us to eat.  I didn’t say too much to him, although I tried to get him to not give his mother so much food.

We left the house around 7:45 and made it over to Machinaka-Kinema in time. We got our tickets, bought some popcorn and drinks and went to see I Feel Pretty. I had been worried that F wouldn’t like it, or wouldn’t get it, but he laughed more and louder than I did. That was a surprise. The theatre was nearly empty, but those of us who saw it had a hoot. So, yes, it was a chick flick, but it was cute and quite fun too.

We came back to the house afterwards, stopping at a 7-11 for some things.  I got an extra minty ice cream and a chocolate bar I’d heard about from a friend.

Back at the house I tried the ice cream and didn’t like it much. It tasted medicinal. Bleck. The chocolate was okay though. We had a good but quiet evening and F has finally gone to sleep. I should go to bed soon as it is very late.

No ideas about what we’ll get up to tomorrow. I hope that we can have a good day too.  Come back later and find out what we get up to. Until tomorrow….
