Thursday - Cloudy and cool
I had a rude start this morning. F got up and turned on the light. It was before his alarm I think and I was quite upset. I pulled the covers up over my head but I was now awake. After a trip downstairs I shut myself in the other room and tried to doze in my chair. After he left for work I went back to bed.
I had a fairly quiet but busy day today. I watched my shows but afterwards, I went downstairs and started a crockpot of vegetable soup. The veggie prep took quite a while. I decided not to parboil the veggies today so saved myself a bit of time.
I went back upstairs afterward, but it was nearly my lunch time!
As I’d been so mad at F this morning, I started to feel guilty. I sent him a text and he accidentally called me back a few minutes later! We did have a nice chat so that was good.
Around 7 pm he called to say he was on his way back. I started to put things together for dinner. We had my soup, some tortilla chips with salsa and when F arrived, he made his stuffed onion with corned beef thing. That took a while to make but was good. I’d also made some hibiscus tea, so we had that at dinner too. Dinner was good and most of the food disappeared. K keeps saying she’s done and then she has more food. It’s kind of funny.
During dinner, there was a TV programme about onsens in Aomori so I suggested to F that he go to the nearby onsen for a break while I stayed in and did the dishes. After he was done, we could go out and have coffee or something. That’s about what we did.
There were a lot of dishes, but I got them done. I cleaned the slow cooker too and even put the soup away. F came back just after I finished. I had had time to change my shirt so we were off in a few minutes.
We had a quick decaf coffee at Komeda Coffee and then did a little grocery shopping at MaxValu. I’m going to make soup and salad for dinner tomorrow. The soup is already made, I’ll put the salad together near dinner time tomorrow.
We came back to the house and I watched NCIS and enjoyed it. I turned off the TV afterwards as there wasn’t anything on tonight.
And that was my day. It turned out much better than it started. Come back later and see how Friday is. Until tomorrow….
