Tuesday - Sunny and warm
F woke me up this morning and told me I was snoring. I wanted to throw something at him but I didn’t. Who cares?! I never did get all the way back to sleep.
I got up and dressed. Around 9:30 today I went downstairs and took out the bread that F had baked for us overnight. I sent him a picture of the bread for good measure!
I had a really quiet day. K seemed to be absent, maybe she was in bed for a lot of the day? I had a yummy lunch of a bagel and some cheeses. I skipped the salad as I decided we’d have that for dinner.
I packed my suitcase and I did watch a little telly off the DVR. I decided that I’d take a taxi tomorrow to the bus station, rather than going by bus. If I went by bus I could only manage a backpack and I really need more than I can fit in my backpack.
I went downstairs around 5pm and did my dishes from the day. Then I started dinner prep. I made more guacamole, I scrubbed the other potatoes and I did a bunch of things to get ready. F called to say he was on his way. I had the potatoes cooking a bit in the microwave when he arrived. Dinner took a bit of time tonight and as usual, I didn’t get any help from anyone. I guess I’m going to have to start asking for help. Grr.
It was quite good. We had sautéed pork, salad, baked potatoes again, plus guacamole and tortilla chips. Most of the food disappeared. I was also gifted with the dishes afterwards. F didn’t face too much of my ire tonight as he had to run an errand right after dinner.
I was exhausted by the time I finished cleaning up. I just wanted to sleep or veg! I went upstairs and there was F lying on the bed. I thought he was still out. We chatted for a bit, and then I suggested that we go to the onsen. It sometimes helps F’s neck. We just had time to go if we left right away.
At the onsen, F headed for the bath, I headed for the chairs. They’d moved them though and so I ended up sitting on the bench but in the curve part of the corner. I didn’t do any crochet tonight, I decided to read and I’m glad I did.
F came out just before 10 and we left. I suggested a drink or an ice cream, but it wasn’t taken up on, but my suggestion of getting groceries was. I’ll be out of town for the rest of the week so F will be on meal duty. He bought rather a lot of food that I think he didn’t really need.
We drove back to the house. I took a shower after putting away the groceries, then came upstairs and watched a bit of telly. I’m trying to clear enough space on the DVR for the weekend.
And that’s it for me. I won’t be here for a few days, so don’t miss me too much. I’ll be exploring the wonderful city of Yamagata!
