Monday - Sunny and hot

I woke up early this morning and then went back to sleep. However, when my alarm went off, I was able to get up quite easily. I also stayed up and didn’t snooze this morning. I guess that is what I get for going to bed a tad early last night.

I had a bit of a quiet day. I watched some TV off the DVR and F phoned me in the middle of something. He asked me to go and see his mother around noon and give her something to eat. She wasn’t feeling well yesterday, so we had bought her some easy to eat food.  I said I would and of course did!

A little after 12, I went to check on K. She was asleep but did wake up when I called her name. I’m a little surprised as she is generally quite deaf, but maybe she felt my presence in her room? I offered her some lunch and she got up to eat.  I quickly prepared something from the stash we bought yesterday and got her a drink too. I went back upstairs when it was plain that she was eating and drinking.

Later when I came down for my lunch, she was up and around and dressed, so that was a good thing. In fact, I’m not sure if she went back to bed at all in the afternoon. Oh, maybe for a little while. It was a bit hot today. 

After lunch, I worked on my newest mask. I got the lining sewn together, and also the outside face panel. I’m supposed to iron the seams for my next step, so I decided to wait until tomorrow for that.

A bit after 5 pm, I went downstairs to start preparing dinner. I had decided to make scrambled eggs with rice for K and F and baked potato for me. On the side, I had some sautéed shiitake mushrooms, some zucchini and some spicy cucumber dish that I know K likes a lot. Dinner, when it happened, got good reviews too. 

F washed the dishes afterwards, but I dried them and then redid the two frypans I had used at the end. They weren’t quite clean yet. Don’t tell F!

After dinner, I came upstairs where F already was. He was on the bed watching YouTube.  I did a bit of email writing and then got really sleepy. I went over to the bed and had a bit of a nap. I think F liked me being there. I wasn’t asleep all of the time and I did occasionally ask him about his videos.

And that’s about it. Tomorrow I hope to work on the mask a bit more and then I’m going to make Gapao rice for dinner, with a salad and a few other things I think.
