Monday - Coldish and cloudy

I woke up this morning to an empty bedroom. It was just me. F had left for work. I got up, went downstairs for a few minutes then came back upstairs and watched the news and got dressed. Then I took a nap.

I had a quiet day for the most part. I caught up on some of my internet stuff and I also worked on my mask a bit. I didn’t watch much TV apart from the news, I just wasn’t into it today.

I went down to start dinner around 5:30. I had to set the kitchen to rights first though. People were doing dishes during the week, but they weren’t putting them back in the cupboards.

I prepped a bunch of vegetables and got things ready so that when F got back I could cook quickly. He finally video-chatted with me and said he was on his way. He took a while though.

Once he was here, I got into higher gear. I started cooking things. I made steamed carrots, garlic Brussel sprouts, and we also had rice for the rice eaters, plus salad and orange chicken from Costco. That was a nice surprise. It was easy and pretty darn delicious too. I got things on the table and we all ate. K told me it was delicious. I haven’t done any cooking for the last week or so, so maybe she missed my cooking?A lot of the food disappeared, so afterwards I put what was left in the fridge. We had dessert too, some of the Bocca pudding balls. They are so cool, but we’ve only ever had the caramel ones. I’ve seen mango advertised, but we never seem to find them!

I did the dishes, in fact I sort of chased F out of the kitchen when he did try to help. Today I just didn’t want to argue about water temperature and whether the Japanese Government actually said that we should wash dishes in cold water. I put on a couple of podcasts and listened to them. I enjoyed that!

F did ask if I wanted to go out tonight, but I didn’t really. I also didn’t think that he wanted to go out, so I said no. I watched one of my TV programmes from last week and then turned off the TV. I tried to watch The Bachelor but honestly, 3 minutes later I turned it off.

That’s about it for tonight. I turned over one of the hems on my mask tonight, if I have time tomorrow I’ll press it again and turn it once more.

I’m supposed to cook Korean style food for dinner tomorrow, but F is going to be late and I was going to pick his brain to find out how to do it. I might just wing it, we’ll see how it goes! Come back later if you will and hear all about my Tuesday. Until tomorrow….
