Tuesday - Hot and Sunny again
I woke up in a daze this morning. I didn’t really know where I was or where I was. I think I might have been over-heated since it was already 28 degrees in the room. I went downstairs came back upstairs and watched the news, then fell asleep. Yikes. I woke up a lot later, got dressed and then grabbed my breakfast.
I had a quiet day in my room today. I watched the final Hunger Games movie and it was okay. It wasn’t my favourite of the series, but it had been a while since I had seen it.
I had lunch a bit later and then came back and watched some YouTube for a while. I wrote another postcard and then I scanned my cards and got them ready to be mailed.
After the news, around 5:30 I went downstairs and started dinner. Tonight for our dining pleasure I did a fish stir-fry plus couscous for me, rice for F and K, miso soup for all, beets and a cabbage salad thing. I completely forgot to put out my actual salad for tonight! Oops.
F helped me with the dishes again tonight and did it in a way that made no sense to me. He used cold water to wash the dishes and told me that the Japanese Government said that they should be washed in cold water. I didn’t find any information saying that! I think he’s lost it!
After a bit of a rest upstairs, F and I went out. We went to the grocery store and picked up some food for a couple of days. I think I forgot to get something for Thursday though! Oops. Maybe I’ll be okay. Eggs….we can have eggs!
When we had bought the groceries we went over to McDonald and had a couple of ice creams and a drink each. That was rather nice. I have been feeling really housebound lately, and I needed to go out for a little bit tonight. We even mailed my cards on the way back to the house. Yay us!
We came back to the house and talked showers. F said he’d take one right away, but then he cracked open a beer so I knew that wouldn’t happen. I took mine instead and then watched Criminal Minds. While I watched the show, and just after it, I did a little sewing on my mask. I am still working on the edges. I should finish it and then iron it soon.
